I would return this if I could. The evening meditation is especially disappointing to me, although does provoke thought.

I was hoping for some relaxing, centering, affirmation sorts of audio content, appropriate for listening to just before bedtime and to help one to sleep restfully and with a good spirit.
I was disappointed. CM shares many good and truthful thoughts mixed with some that are not so inarguable, but it is more of a call to action audio. On the one hand we are to let go of needing to know 'why' but at other places we are earnestly directed to consider and contemplate in various directions and self examine.
I agree that self discipline and serious spiritual inquiry is an important part of spiritual practice, but the tone of the evening meditation is too much of a complex and intensely toned call to intellectual action and too little of a 'let go and let God' sentiment. When I listen at night I try to reconcile some of her thoughts to my own spiritual beliefs and to some of her previously expressed thoughts, and do not find the recording generally helpful in supporting my well physical or spiritual well being. As I listen to this CD I find myself questioning CM's reasoning and consistency rather than closing my day with a spiritually edifying 'Christ already said it is finished', thankful heart. .
A recording with a gentle, encouraging, mild, humble tone without a call to intellectual action would be a great improvement..
"Love is patient." "...The art of really celebrating life isn't about getting it right -- but receiving Grace." (Ann Voskamp) From CM's CD I have the impression that CM values making other people get it right more than receiving grace and thankfulness. CM impresses me as having an overly intense, perfectionistic and inquiring nature as I do, but I feel the direction my thoughts turn in as I listen to her is not spiritually improved.
