I picked up this set of 8 cassette tapes as something to listen to during my long commutes between Orlando and Miami. It is a perfect companion for long car rides.The set covers a weekend retreat on spiritual practices and very day life. It's like being at the workshop with him; it contains presentations, question & answer sessions, and activities such as chanting and guided meditative sessions. Ram Dass' has an amazing voice whose deep vibrations are easy to absorb and understand. His approach to spiritual practices is can be wise, bemused and insightful; listening is effortless and satisfying. Chanting along with the tape is even better than singing along with the radio; sometimes, I even feel refreshed and rested at the end of the 3 and a half hour journey. There are other reviewers that can tell you more about Ram Dass as a teacher and spiritual leader. For me, he has become my favorite passenger.
