I'm one of those people who has used this oil for more years than I care to remember. When I made a purchase a few months ago direct from their web site, I was very surprised when the scent was different. Not as strong, but at the same time more complex.

When I asked them about it, they told me that the Spiritual Sky brand was sold in 2009, and that a different company has been making the oils since then. You can verify this by looking at the back of the label on the bottle. The new bottles say "Genieco" and/or "Gonesh", as the new company is the same one that makes the Gonesh incense. The older bottles say "Willert" on the back, and they have bigger type on them.

With the change in ownership, the sources of the materials and so forth changed, and the formulation is indeed different.

It took me a little while, but the new formula has really grown on me and become as much of a favorite as the old one.

The people bashing the companies selling this implying (or downright accusing) that they diluted the product and so forth should get their facts straight before they say such things.

I'm glad to find this on Amazon, that's where I'll be making my purchases in the future.

I have worn this scent for many years now. I get a lot of compliments which make you feel good about yourself plus a good ego boost. I wear several different perfumes but never recieved the compliments that I did with Spiritual Sky Patchouly. I am now out and am ordering more. I hope this help someone.

I had to write this to offset the previous rather meanspirited review. A nice patchouli scent, if you like patchouli. If you don't know what patchouli smells like, maybe you should find out before your order it!

If you like patchouli then you'll love this oil. I mix it with others like the cherry and maybe a little amber and smell like incense! And yes it's earthy! I've been looking for this for awhile and was happy to find it on amazon.

I absolutely love Patchouli but this brand is just nasty. I saw good reviews for this product? Are the good reviews about Patchouli in general or about this brand specifically? If they are for this specific brand then I must have gotten a bad batch.

The listing says "premium scented oil"???? But honestly, all of the "Spiritual Sky" products I ordered are weak, diluted and of very poor quality. I always bought my scented oils from a local supplier but they recently went out of business. And because I live in the middle of nowhere (Yeah, I baby sit Courage for Muriel and Eustace Bagge) I now find my self searching for a new seller/brand. Spiritual Sky is NOT going to be it.

The coconut and vanilla actually do smell like coconut and vanilla even if they are very weak.

The Patchouli is cheap and disgusting. It smells like . . . .? Well, I used to work at a thrift store and the Spiritual Sky Patchouli smells like the boxes of old shoes that we would throw away because they were in too bad of condition to sell at the thrift store. YIKES!!!! Good Patchouli does NOT smell like that at all!!

And the Lavender is very weak and smells like baby powder just like how all the cheap "Lavender" products smell at the dollar tree. Good Lavender does not smell like that. Certain Lavender oils smell a little similar to baby powder but if your Lavender smells just straight up like weak baby powder the you have yourself a very inferior Lavender that probably isn't even real Lavender at all. That's how the Spiritual Sky Lavender smelled.

Honestly you can find better products at Wal-Mart. Don't be suckered by the Super-Saver Shipping like I was. I usually don't even leave detailed product reviews but these were so disappointing I felt I just had to say something.

Though no fault of the seller, this Patchouli seems weak smelling. I've purchased many different brands, and the Spiritual Sky has the least scent of them all. I would recommend a different brand, such as Plantlife.

These are the best scented oils I have found. The Patchouli scent is great and if mixed with something else, it is wonderful. The Patchouli scent is truly a 60 - 70's scent. I have noticed that companies are adding this scent to their lines mixed with the other scents, it is distinctive. Try the Patchouli Musk.

I love patchouldy and sandlewood, but I was so dissapointed when I received these products - they didn't have any fragrance!

I hated this new spiritual sky product. I have been using the original product manufactured by Gilbert Inc. & the new manufacturer has ruined the beautiful original product. The formula has changed & it stinks. I wish they would go back to the original formula. I won't buy this one ever again.

I have used Spiritual Sky oils for years and have just reordered and am extremely disappointed.

I see from other reviewers that the company changed hands which shouldn't be an issue. But it is because this stuff just smells nasty.

At first sniff the scent is very mild, not at all like the original, then after it's worn for a few minutes, the smell turns - can't describe it - bad.

I know what patchouly smells like, and this isn't it.
