Format: Audio CD
the african show boyz hail from northern ghana in west africa. they are five brothers blending traditional ghanaian instruments and the creators of a style called bunburus. the sounds they have laid down here are nothing short of extraordinary. the production is excellent. the culture and marley covers are phenomenal. the show boyz were also influenced and encouraged by the late baba olatunji, the grandfather of african music in the united states. a well crafted cd with extensive liner notes and photos, the buda musique label has created a thoughtful and complete package. as impressive as this cd is though, check out the show boyz live. literally, there is magic in their music and they will blow u away with their live show. they have recently played at floydfest world music festival (floydfest.com) in virginia, u.s. and have toured france i believe as well. if you like creative and original african music, then buy this disc and help support some incredible musicians.

for more beautiful ghanaian music check out kusunensemble.com

and peep my list, african rhythm, african sensibility.

and cancel africa's debt seen? no more africa suffer. word.
