This is a welcome addition to the literature of men's spirituality, from the Sacred Literature of the Baha'i Faith. The themes and titles are unusually masculine--relating directly to a man's experience. This is suprising on several levels--one is because the Baha'i Faith strongly promotes the equality of women alongside men. It is suprisingly on another level because the Writings of Baha'i Faith usually are thought to contain many flowery passages --usually a feminine characterisitic, but this clearly shows a strongly male (but not chauvnistic) perspective. It is nice to think that the balance of both gender perspectives helps one concentrate on prayer. This collection of prayers and exhortations for men from the Baha'i Sacred Literature truly demonstrates the actual equality between the genders in this faith. What is most interesting is the beauty of these prayers which are both very illuminating and spiritually relevent to men. I strongly recommend it to any man interested in his spiritual growth.

"Spiritual Strength for Men" is really an exceptional book of prayers and deepening materials available in few places... By that I mean there are included in this rich antholgy of Baha'i scripture such masterpieces as the "Tablet of Purity"; "Tablet of the Hair"; "The Maid of Heaven" which are a little collection of excerpts from the Writings of Baha'u'llah about the The Maid of Heaven; "The Tablet of the Virgin" also known as "The Tablet of the Vision". There's a section on "Debts" as well.... Who today could not benefit from this fine selection?

Women can also benefit from the selections!

The design of this fine handy hardbound book is also remarkable... with a leatherlike texture and DaVinci's squaring the circle cosmic man on the cover repeated in chapter divisions. Gold lettering on the cover also adds to it's quality.
