About the Author

Les Visible is a writer and recording artist. He has had a lifelong love affair with the Hermetic Sciences and the Martial Arts. He is a seasoned traveler in psychedelic realms and prefers the Devic Kingdom over the suffocating confinements of the Sub-Matrix. Along the way he has matriculated from the military to prisons and the maximum security wards for the criminally insane. He has owned a metaphysical bookstore and some restaurants and worked in construction, as a cook, a club bouncer, a newspaper editor, a resort manager, a radio announcer, a standup comedian, as a lead singer in a rock and roll band and whatever he had to do to get by. He lives somewhere in Europe with his wife Susanne and his memories. The truth has not been injured in the writing of this blurb.

This book is surprisingly useful, the author seems to have a definite handle on what he is talking about,(he also has the decent sense to inform one when he isn't sure).
I still have not finished with it (only one quarter to one third of the way in) largely because I'm still processing the information along the way. This guy has an impressive talent for making what would seem to be advanced knowledge instantly understandable & accessible, (unlike many other spiritual & magical traditions) & he doesn't play "master", which is a pleasant change from what I'm used to.
One word of warning: if you are attracted to the lovely artwork, etc expecting some nifty New Age fantasy nonsense, then you are in for a bad surprise, this book is quite serious, so serious in fact that one would probably be prudent to follow it's advice,it may even be the most important book you ever bumped into.(it REALLY is that intense) some of the information caught me by surprise (both good, & bad) & it almost seems as though I was meant to stumble upon it.(why God would do such a favor for a failed, has been, black magician as myself, is, I guess, an example of his mercy & general awesomeness).
I cannot recommend this book enough for ANYONE who is even partially sincere in wanting to know themselves,& the Divine better in these dark & scary times.

Imagination Captured Brilliantly upon the medium of Paper, Principles, and Prose!
I have just written another review of Witter Bynner's The Way of Life According to Laotzu -The Way of Life, According to Laotzu

This review will be different because the book written by the resident of Les Visible -is the same author -of all books.
Can you dig it?
Yes, I can....and I've been waiting for a long time......

All the reviews of this book thus far -are accurate and descriptive enough for my review to exists in it's current state of being -as digital 1's and 0's drawing to your Mind's eye the detail that needs to be detailed within -and the appropriate conclusion -that although the faces have changed along with their names -there remains one constant -in us all:

That the Resident Being that exists within him, is the same that breathes the real life of the real you and the real me.

Hey, you asked for it, you got - ;)

It's a MUST HAVE book in the Spiritual- Arsenal of Books of Books- and I surely do not mean to belittle the Bible [or shall I call it by it's other name, the Holy Roman Bible?

Bought this with the Darkening Splendor. Read DS first. Comment about onion in regard to Spiritual Survival...the book is so spare on the surface, much like LV in pictures--a tall drink of water--but there are SO many layers behind each sentence, each phrase. A true talisman for the journey.

Since youth I have been attracted to the spiritual path with an insatiable desire to know how this creation and everything works. In my teens I was drawn towards esoteric teachings and ancient knowledge. Along the way I have read and accumulated a large library of interesting, informative and fascinating books. Spiritual Survival in a Temporal World is a unique for-the-times [end-of-times?] guide book I wish had been available way back at the start of my journey. Ironically the immeasurable value of the book is more readily appreciated when one has read and wandered through volumes of other works. I found little further knowledge or understanding was to be gained. At this stage I could see the illusory world for what it was and there was no need to waste time and energy pondering or contemplating how it came to be so. I had come full circle - losing myself somewhere along the way - and I realised I had to return to the source by seeking the presence of, and a relationship with the Divine. This is of course pointed out as the primary and only objective by Les in his introduction of, and throughout the book. The book is concise, deliberate and beautifully written in the definitive style known and loved by followers of his various blogs and with an honesty and integrity rarely found today. It covers the most realistic and effective methods or disciplines available to the seeker allowing for a quick realignment back on the path to the Source.
