4.0 out of 5 stars Fascinated by Faces
I might never have picked this book, since I tend to pick out "cute stories", but babies love looking at close-up photos of baby faces. Our pediatrician gives us a book at every visit; I think my son received this one at around 6 months of age. It was one of his favorites for many months. The text is very simple: "Let's take a bath...and blow a bubble or two! I love...

Not nearly my childs favorite book that I had hoped but it still is decent. She likes books with more involvement - sounds/ color/ touch to it. She is my first child so hopefully the next ones will like it more.

I love playing with water, don't you?" Each page has a close-up of a baby's face, with each baby playing with bubbles or a bath toy, etc. (Babies of just about every skin tone appear in the book). My son is now age 15 months, and still enjoys pulling out this book from time to time.

A Kid's Review

This book is often reviewed by my daughter (13 month old). She likes to file the pages one by one. She shows a lot of interest for it.

Infants from 6-12 months really seem to be captivated by the pictures of baby faces. It is the first board book that Atticus didn't want to eat.

My daughter loves this book. Now that she is 2 years old she likes to point out facial features: eyes, eyebrows, nose, teeth, ears, etc. This book has babies of all races, which is hard to find.

This book, along with all of the BabyFaces series, is fantastic!! My son LOVES looking at the babies and mimicking their expressions, or pointing out different facial features (eyes, nose, etc).

My son is on the Autism spectrum, and so finding things that he enjoys and LEARNS from is a very big deal to me! He enjoys these books so much, and he's learned a whole lot from them. He's learned to say words like "nose", "teeth", and others, and attempts to imitate the expressions on the baby faces, along with using a word to describe it. And then he wants me to read them to him over and over, and OVER.

The hard, thick pages are perfect for young children as well, making them so much more durable than the thick book. That's a must have for any parent!

I HIGHLY recommend these books to anyone with babies or young children.

My daughter didn't care about this book until about 10 mos of age. Then she started asking for "babies, babies". She could look at this over and over for 30 minutes straight. Of course, it's very boring for the "reader" but hey, this is about the kids, right? :-)

My 4-month old is intrigued with the pictures of the toddler faces and frequently "reads" along with me. I have ordered several in this series by Roberta Grobel Intrater as he enjoys looking at the animated faces she photographs. I would highly recommend.
