CD was backordered forever at best buy, so thanks amazon! Definitely an older sound from Bayside, but the couple b-sides are good.

I have been a Bayside/Name Taken fan for the last couple of years now. I am just now trying to complete my collections with the earlier albums. I probably would've rated this album higher had I listened to it back when it was originally released. However, having heard all the latest and greatest from both bands, it's hard to say this CD is great. It sounds exactly like what it is, a compilation of early work songs from a couple of bands trying to get their names out there. The lyrics are very emotional but they don't really flow when sung. No song on here really grabs my attention and makes me want to listen to the album over and over and over again. It's a good album for people like me who like to have all the albums from their favorite bands, regardless of quality. If you're more interested in discovering great songs by these bands, you won't find them here. In that case, try their later releases.

this cd has two very promising bands on it. i love every second of it. the bayside acoustic song is pretty boring though. I would definetely go pick this up again if i had lost it, defintely buy it and give both of these bands very good support, great guys too!

My recent discovery is that Name Taken will be releasing a FULL LENGTH. You can keep posted at their website www.nametakenmusic.com As for the Split EP with Bayside: AMAZING! I have listened to it a good million times, and I just finally got it this summer. Some of the best EMO ever but they really need to start to making music more. Bayside is another great band check them out!

I can't believe Name Taken hasn't released a full length album yet. Their music is really good.

Nice vocals and pretty good lyrics . I see good things for these bands . I hope to hear more soon ..Give this cd a try and see for yourself ... not too shabby ;p
