I chose this product out of many other similar alternatives that serve the same function due to the pricing.
Though I was missing a small part, it did not affect the function and performance as it was irrelevant to the overall use. I LOVE this product so far. It looks exactly as it does in the image, and has allowed me to lay in bed while using my computer.
My only advice to future customers is to truly read the directions (PICTURES, rather) and lay out how you will build BEFORE starting. I made several mistakes and had to repeat the undoing/redoing process.
However, the frustration and time it took me was WELL WORTH the hassle considering that the price/looks/function met my expectations. If anything, I would say it went beyond, as it looks much more pricier, modern, and high-tech. Despite my bedroom furniture being brown, it works. Note: The picture looks as though you can only use it on the right side of the bed, for right handed people, but in fact, it will rotate the other direction, allowing it for left-handed users for left side of the bed.

The first reason why I ordered this desk was for the price. I ended up paying less for this desk(with shipping) than most of the desk I've found on the site.
The desk is bigger and sturdier that what I thought it would be. Wasn't hard to put together, it took about 45 minutes. The Best feature is the fact you can rise and lower the desk.

I bought this because it was priced considerably lower than the alternatives, and came in the color scheme I wanted. It was fairly easy to assemble, and is larger than one might expect. However, the factory packs the parts in such a way that one or more pieces of the metal components ends up loose in the box, causing damage in transit that may range from minor scratches to major defacement of the table top. Mine arrived with two small chips in the top and slight marring on one of the metal parts, but I've decided I can live with those flaws. If this had been priced even $20 more, I would have returned it instead.

We've ordered 24+ laptop carts like this one and some not a "split-top" from various vendors in the past 6 months for a project here at work. In order to meet our deadlines, I couldn't get enough from just one vendor so I had to order from many. Unfortunately, this is the only one we bought of this model and the only one of all the carts we bought that fell apart (a wheel weld broke loose) after just 30 days ....just after the return policy wouldn't you know! Sure it's only $50 but the fact that the thing didn't even last 30 days! Where's the quality control! And even if it was within the return period, how in the heck do you package it up to return it! Sorry for venting --- it's just frustrating. But it's a peril of ordering online I guess.

It is not really inexpensive at $50. So not worth it.

I read the reviews but still bought this since the choices for a table that can be adjusted to this height were few. I think Amazon should stop carrying such poor quality products. It is spoiling Amazon's reputation.

Problems :
1. The product arrived with minor damages but they were not as bad.
2. UNSTABLE : It does not sit tight and wobbles at every key stroke. It is annoying to work with your laptop shaking.
3. At its maximum height the top piece does not sit in line with the base and slants towards the heavier side of the table.

I will have to make some fixes myself for this to make it sit straight.

This is worthless. It is wobbly, and has zero stability with no structural integrity. The positionable piece does not lock in place so it moves whenever you touch it, rendering it useless. The welds on the castors broke on use number 2. It is already in the trash and was a total waste of money. Don't buy it.

The screw holes were welded improperly so I couldn't attach the wheels. Too bad :(

I was stupid to buy this without checking the other reports. the screws don't fit into the holes, very frustrating. Does anyone have a hammer? Wasted my money. grrrr

We bought two of these desks in the same order, so both my self and my partner could use them.

Within an hour of assembly (one of them, DURING assembly) both desks had broken wheels. Not just one, but multiple wheels on each desk snapped off and the desks became instantly unusable.

It cannot be fixed, because the welded nut that the castors screw into snapped off due to lack of proper weld.

I got this table and the condition was very good no damage or scratches of any kind as far as shipping. I was only using it for a couple of days when one of the casters broke off at the welding point. One of the biggest reasons I chose this product was for the rolling wheels. Once it broke off there was really no point in keeping it at all. Even through the price is hard to beat. It is cheap for a reason and the reason is poor construction. Buyer Beware!!
