Pour and serve large-sized glasses of wine or water into these luxurious and enlivening wine glasses for a wonderful holiday treat. The set includes four glasses; each glass is made of clear glass, holds 16 ounces, stands 7 inches high, and has a generous 3-1/4-inch diameter for smelling the wine's bouquet. The reservoir of each glass is deeper than a standard wine glass, allowing for the extra capacity, and the standard narrow stem is replaced with a shorter stem featuring a globe-shape ball just above the base. Like all items in the pattern, the glass features the calling-card Christmas tree design at center; other decorative elements include mistletoe and 22-karat gold trim at the top, making each sip a memorable delight. They are gorgeous glasses-- IF they arrive in one piece. I placed an order for 3 sets-- got them and 7 out of 12 were broke. Then when I got the replacements, several of them were broken. And when I got some from another order, they were broken as well. They were all packed poorly. The glasses were in their boxes and thrown into a bigger box (that was too big) and bubble wrap thrown on top. Learn how to pack people! Amazon has been great about refunding my money-- but it has still been a headache.

The original Spode- which I have some- were made in England and are of fine quality. The latest Spode is made in China and is not nearly as good. While it claims to be dishwasher safe- it is not- at least the glasses and goblets. The design washes off after one or two times in the dishwasher. I still use them but I hand wash. Just be aware of the difference as you will be expecting the really good Spode (from England) and it is not!

I have collected Spode Christmas Tree items for more than 30 years. I had 8 Pedestal Goblets and felt I needed 4 more to complete my set. When I received the final 4 the quality of the glasses had declined greatly. You can immediately tell the difference between the glasses I have had for several years and the new goblets. The new ones are much lighter and the decals can be scratched easily. I have to be very very careful that they are not damaged. I am very disappointed!
