The boat holds 2 cups of gravy ready for your holiday turkey or stuffing and is 8-1/2 by 6-1/2-inches. It features a slightly raised handle that makes for easy grasping and pouring, and a graceful, scooped spout that pours generously. The stand provides prevents dripping onto fine tablecloths, provides a handy place to rest a ladle, and makes for easy passing at the table. Both the boat and stand are white with the pattern's calling-card Christmas tree design at center; the rim of the plate is kissed with a sprig of holly, and the edges are circled in a rich green border, creating a simple and vibrant holiday look. For those needing only the boat or stand, not both, each can be bought individually. Made in England of Imperialware, Spode's high-quality earthenware, the boat and stand are safe for the oven, dishwasher, freezer, and microwave. Amazon Verified Purchase
I do not know what happened with my order. It was supposedly "in stock" at Amazon's warehouse (not coming from a vendor). I received it two+ weeks after the date it was promised. While it was in the original Spode box, the packing material was missing and it was haphazardly wrapped in a couple pieces of used bubble wrap. The gravy boat stand was clearly a "second" as it had an irregular green rim painted around the edge and a chip that had been covered over with paint and glaze. To make the order even more weird, it was shipped in a box from a coffee manufacturer that had food grease stains inside of it. There were UPS labels all over the box with personal information crossed off. I suspect Amazon received this as a return and sent it to me without checking the item or repackaging it in their shipping container. I always trusted Amazon to provide first quality merchandise at good prices, but will be very leery in the future! Now I know why I paid $63.99 for a $163 MRSP item. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!

Although Amazon shipped quickly and has great prices - this piece of Spode does NOT have the same quality of my other Spode Christmas Tree pieces that were MADE IN ENGLAND. Buyer beware and stress to SPODE to up their quality control and switch ALL manufacturing back to England!

I received the item within 24hours of purchase, which was amazing, however when i opened the box the bottom of the gravy boat was broken. So i went to Amazon to do a "replacement", but the item was no longer available so i had to return it. After processing the return, the following day, i went back to Amazon and found that it was availabe again, 19 to be exact. So i ordered a new one, which i hope will arrive in good shape. So that fact that i had to process a return instead of a replacement was more work!
