This delightful cookie jar features the vintage Christmas tree that Spode designer Harold Holdway created in 1938 for the company's now classic Christmas Tree pattern. Laden with colorful ornaments and topped with a jolly figure of St. Nick, the evergreen image has become an icon of holiday perfection. This merry Disney version of the pattern also includes legendary Disney characters Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck, and Pluto, who are gathered in front of the tree for a rousing round of carols. The characters are reproduced from a rare edition of 1931 Christmas cards created by Walt Disney and elevate the joyful holiday mood

This cookie jar stands 10 inches tall with a 6-1/2-inch circumference and keeps an ample amount of traditional Christmas Florentine or ginger spice cookies or a few bags of licorice candies fresh. The Disney motif continues around the top of the jar with images of caroling Mickey, Minnie, and Donald and wrapped gifts interspersed on top of a garland of holiday greens. Sprigs of holly and mistletoe encircle the cookie jar's rim and lid, enhancing the charming theme, and vivid green banding emphasizes the holiday cheer.
