I have been studying Welsh for about 9 years now, and this was the first Welsh book that I used (back then there weren't many). Catchphrase is very good with the mix of vocabulary, grammar, conversations and exercises. I never felt overloaded with the amount of material in each chapter, and the book explains details without getting too heavy. I would recommend it highly for beginners that are serious about learning the language. The only thing that I think it lacks is any discussion about more everyday language, but if you are planning to study Welsh at more than a superficial level, then I think that this course will give you the best basis. You'll learn the more colloquial language when you really start speaking.
