5.0 out of 5 stars PVA is incredible
On a smooth floor (e.g. tile or wood) PVA sponge mops are miraculous. It picks ups dirt and water while leaving almost nothing behind. The absorption capacity of PVA is phenomenal. The floor is dry 30 seconds after you're done.

3.0 out of 5 stars be sure to reinforce the handle before it breaks
Don't extend the handle all the way or it will break. It is a great mop otherwise. I knew this before I bought it.

5.0 out of 5 stars the perfect mop, December 28, 2006
By
middle aged mom (Fort Lauderdale, FL USA) - See all my reviews
This is my 3rd of this type of mop. I only replace them because eventually something rusts out, so I recommend getting maybe one replacement mop head. What I like best is that it dries in minutes since it basically soaks all the water back up. I won't use any other kind after this and am reminded of how dismal other mops are when I visiting others. We have fake hardwood floors, terrazzo, and ceramic tile and it's great on all of them. The one improvement I would like to see is a wider mop head so I can cover more area faster.
Buy this mop! This seller order time to ship receipt was about 7 days to FL.

PVA makes a fine sponge mop that lets you clean, clean, clean those dirty floors as easy as pie! The mop comes with a blue sponge head on it that is a foot long and about 3 inches wide; and it's one of the best brands out there for sponge mops.

The black plastic mop is lightweight and easy to carry. The wringing lever is within easy reach so that you can wring the dirty water and the dirt from the sponge mop into a bucket or whatever container you're using; and because of this lever you obviously don't have to reach down to the end of the mop to wring out the sponge.

As Amazon notes, wring this mop once in clean water before using it on the floor or whatever surface you're cleaning. This helps get any particles of dust, blue residue from the mop sponge and anything else out of the sponge so that when you start cleaning the sponge is as clean as can be for your job. The sponge on the end of the mop is made in such a way that it scrubs the surface you're cleaning as well. Yes!

Overall, I recommend this PVA sponge mop if you need one. The company also manufactures replacement sponges for that inevitable time when the sponge is worn out.

Use it in good health!

5.0 out of 5 stars Saves me a lot of work!, June 3, 2006
This mop is fantastic. I have no idea why I can no longer find it in stores. I can mop my floors & walls with it with ease. I do not have to worry about my two year old slipping on the wet floor. It leaves it virtually dry.

5.0 out of 5 stars A little flimsy, but still great!, November 4, 2007
By
I bought one of these at the LA County Fair after watching the demonstrator show how terrific it is. Even though I thought it would never work as good at home, I bought it anyway. 2 weeks later, I dropped and broke a bottle of olive oil on my kitchen floor. What a mess. Then I thought: Hey! I'll use that new mop to clean this up! I think I would still be cleaning that up horrible mess without this terrific mop. It picked up the little pieces of glass that I couldn't get with the broom and left the floor clean and oil-free. The handle could be a bit sturdier, but other than that, it's the best mop I've ever owned.

5.0 out of 5 stars Why isn't this available everywhere?, June 18, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
After having my last sponge mop start disintegrating within 4 months of purchase, I started shopping around for something better and bought this product based on the glowing reviews on this site and others. I haven't been disappointed. This mop does a spectacular job of picking up not only the easy stuff (dirt), but also hair and dog fur, without making multiple passes. Somehow, the people at Rubbermaid have accomplished what I used to think must be impossible: designing a mop head that has the correct texture to "grab" everything off the floor, yet release it with ease when you rinse and wring. It also seems durable enough that I doubt I'll have to replace it anytime soon. I can't claim, as some other reviewers have, that it leaves the floor practically dry when you finish, but I will say that my floors dry a bit faster than with my old sponge mop -- and they end up MUCH cleaner. The only cons I've found are that the telescoping handle will occasionally collapse even when it seems to have been tightened properly, and that you must soak the mop head for 60 seconds before wringing it out, since wringing it out dry can damage it. Given how well it works, these are pretty minor cons. I don't understand why this mop (and replacement heads) only seem to be available online. It was well worth the $20 I paid (including S&H).

4.0 out of 5 stars good but not as good as the last one, April 28, 2008
The PVA mop is hard to come by. In most stores they sell those crappy Liebman which just spread stuff around. The PVA mop is a super dense mop head that really picks up what it puts down for a super clean surface. My old one was slightly different and did a little better job but this one is still many times better than a regular sponge mop or chamois rag head style.

5.0 out of 5 stars Only mop I'll Use., February 12, 2008

I clean for a living and I take my mop with me. People ask why and I just tell them there's no comparison. I show how much grit and dust the mop can pick up and hold and then they get curious. The other great feature is how much water, liquid the mop will hold. If there is a drawback it is that the handle can slip if not tightened down good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Greatest Mop Ever!!!!!, October 4, 2007
I think the reason they won't sell this mop in stores is because it will be the last mop you will ever buy. Enough said!
