I use this cartooning book with my cartooning students. It offers simple two dimensional drawings which are easy to draw in addition to more complex three dimensional drawings. Finally, it shows kids how to soup up characters to give them new personalities. I have gone through A LOT of how to draw cartoon books, and this is definitely at the top of my list when I suggest books to parents.

This could've had easier pictures to draw. Instead of regular SB it has him at funny angles running. Not so easy for beginner artists who just want to draw SB standing. The other 4 characters aren't very easy to draw either. I thought it would have them doing things to draw from the show but it was just dumb poses in different clothes. One of the other how-to draw SB books looks better than this one. The directions aren't very good either.
It does have a few picture/poses that are easy to draw and my kids (& husband) aren't tired of them yet. |
