Despite the reviews I read, I thought the person typing the review just might have been upset about the product. However, they were 100% correct. POOR PRODUCT! I have 3 children that would had played with the toys, so I bought 2 sets. Gosh, I should have bought 0! 1 of the walkie talkies only received and did not transmit at all. Although, that package might had been a flaw, both packages had the same problem. So I bought 2 sets of spongebob walkie talkies (4 pieces) and only 2 pieces worked. The static when transmitting was horrible, the children could hardly make sense of what was being said. The static was much louder then the kids. The distance was also poor. They could not be on two different floors of the same house... it was easier to just yell then to try to use this product.

Second day we threw it out while our daughter was sleeping.
Unbearable static sound. You can barely hear the voice. Cannot understand what the other person is saying. The talk button is too stiff for a five year old to hold down.
BUYS SOMETHING ELSE!!
Try these instead:

Or better yet the real thing:
Motorola MH230R 23-Mile Range 22-Channel FRS/GMRS Two-Way Radio (Pair)

If you order from this vendor prepare yourself to be spammed. Their emails do not have an unsubscribe link and they are absolutely relentless. I regret making this purchase.

Poor Sound, don't work well at all.
Save yourself some time and just pay the extra money for something that actually works. My 6 year old got very frustrated with not being able to talk on them.
