5.0 out of 5 stars Great game for young & old.
This is a graet game, for all ages. I have three kids 5, 13. & 16 and they all love it. I also really like to play. We're having a great time.

3.0 out of 5 stars SpongeBob SquarePants
Well now that Spongebob Squarepants has captivated the U.S. they've made another Spongebob Squarepants video game. The story is very simple, with no really point. While Plankton has created a new batch of robots, he forgot the turn the "Obey Planton" switch on. Rainman could have thought of a better story in his sleep.

There are no attach moves, such as kick, punch, etc. All you can do is blow bubbles at the robots which makes them meltdown.
Even though the story is ghastly, the graphics kick but and you get to visit alot of Spongebob's vital settings, such as the
sand bar, the bus station, Sandy's pad, and many more!
So overall, I present this game with three stars. This game will be challenging to anyone under eight years of age.

My 4 year old solved this game in about a month. I have yet to complete it myself, but we both find it amusing and enjoyable! I have to wait till he's in bed to have a turn!

At other sites, this game for GBA is said to be more than it is. This site is the only one I found that tells the truth.

IN Playstation 2 version of this game,( and other versions.) You can play as Sandy Cheecks, Patrick Star, or Spongebob Squarepants. Each character has their own type of special move.

~In this game for GBA, you can only be spongebob and go through the levels. No special moves are given.

This game isn't that hard either. There are a few hard levels but kids ages 7 and up should be able to beat this game with no big problems. I am on the level before the last and haven't been able to beat it yet. It's confusing. the game has been fun though and it's something to do when you're bored. I want to get this game for PS2 in the future and suggest you get it for another system other than GBA if you are older or like more choices.

My only problem with this game is it's way of continuing. Why should you have to write a password down?! That's dumb. Why should you not be able to just save and load? Why should you have to go to so much trouble? That's rediculous! I hope you editors read these reviews. If you do, then you'll know what to watch out for next time. Because this is so stupid I can't even believe it. The game falls short of perfect because of one thing! ONE THING! I'm tellin' ya. You shouldn't EVER [...] make a game where you're forced to use passwords. What kind of service is that? THat makes me so mad!

Awesome 2D version, great graphics, sound, gameplay (other then the fact that you have to use passwords instead of a real save feature), and bosses!

5.0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun packed in this little Spongbob Game!, October 10, 2007
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: SpongeBob SquarePants: The Battle for Bikini Bottom (Video Game)
I am over 30 years old and I thought I'd try this Spongebob game that my kids had. I usually try all the games they have.

The game is cute. I like the graphics and it's bold, vibrant colors. Spongebob moves pretty good in there. Slides, walks, jumps, floats & blows bubbles that disable the enemies.

You go through each stage to beat each level. Once you beat a level, you move onto the next. There are I think about 4 levels with about 6 rounds in each. Then there are bosses you have to beat. In each stages, you have to get all 3 spatulas to finish it. You also need to collect 20 crabby patties but that's optional. For me, each level takes me about 1/2 hour to finish.

Overall, the game is pretty challenging in some ways. They have you think of clever strategies of how to get around certain obstacles. Like for example, there was on stage where I couldn't figure out how to get up there. Then it dawned on me that I could blow the bubbles on the monster floating above me, this brings the monster down, then push him toward the wall, then jump on him to get over the ledge. This game gets you thinking of ways to do things. I like that in a game where it makes you think.

The game itself isn't hard nor easy. Just perfect. I also get lost easily as I have no sense of direction. With this game, there are different ways of getting different places then you need to go back to exit. (I usually forget where the exit was, after I've bumped into it)

I recommend this game for anyone. But I'm speaking from an adult perspective as I know there are plenty of adult gamers out there. Great for kids as well.
