I have been pretty dissappointed with this TV/DVD combo. The fifth time it was used the DVD player stopped working. We couldn't get it into DVD mode and so the player wouldn't open. And, unfortunately, it had to be shipped to Texas to be fixed. And, the shipping was a LOT. I could have purchased a regular new DVD player for the cost. I don't recommend purchasing this product.

I originally purchased this TV for my kids more than a year ago and it is great. My kids love how it looks and the picture quality is great. The only problem I have with it is that the parental controls don't work. The TV won't take the code printed in the instruction manual so I can't program it to only play movies rated for children. I returned the TV for a new one, but the new TV does the same thing. It's not just me- I've had many friends and relatives follow the instructions and try to input the code to no avail. Aside from this, the TV is great.

Great quality tv and DVD. The DVD player works better than my own high end brand DVD player. The colors are crisp, the sound is great and the added feature of little Spongebobs by the channel number and the volume is adorable. I also like I can program in how high of a rating it will allow. So if she stumbles across a program while I am not around that I would rather her not watch, it will block it. She uses it mostly to watch movies and that works great. The all in one remote is easy to use despite looking complicated(many buttons). Only complaint is it doesn't have a last channel button, but that does not detract from the tv at all.

I bought this TV for my kids and they love it! I finally have a little peace! The remote is a little difficult for them to use but that's easily fixed with a universal that is a little less complicated. My only real complaint is that three times now we've managed to "hit a button" on the remote that causes the picture to go black and white and the only way we can fix it is to turn off the TV, which is a pain if you're in the middle of a movie. Other than that it's one of the best products we've bought so far, I finally got my living room and sanity back!

I bought this for my son's birthday in December. From the beginning, it had trouble playing DVDs - new ones at that. It would take several tries at loading them before they would finally play. Only a month after I bought it, it began not playing some DVDs at all, until finally, seven months later, it won't play any at all. This was a complete waste of money.

We bought and watched about 10 dvd's on it and then it just stopped working. The dvd player just won't play dvd's anymore. Only had it a couple of weeks. It says "Loading' But never plays dvd.

I have had this TV for almost 2 years now and it has a wonderful picture, as well as great sound quality for such a little TV. It is very cute, and most importantly to me...stable when placed on a table (which I cannot say for most other character TV's). The good things stop there. This really shouldn't be considered a DVD/TV combo as the DVD player rarely works...and I usually give up before getting it to work. I have learned to live without that and just enjoyed the TV itself until a few days ago when the remote was misplaced. You absolutely CANNOT use any universal remote controls with this TV as NONE of the codes work. Good luck finding another on the internet as you could do with any other TV. I have heard you can get one directly from Emerson for like $30 plus another $10 for shipping (haven't spoken w/ them yet to be sure as I just sit on hold forever and gave up). $40 for another remote is insane and I will live without it for that...but since the TV changes channels soooooooooo slowly, it is now kinda useless and just sits on the table looking cute. Invest your money in another product NOT made by Emerson.

I gave this tv/dvd player to my grandson and he and his parents love it. It has given his parents a little time in the evening to enjoy their own programs and he knows how to start his videos by himself.

dvd player broke after a few uses- got stuck and had to pry open with a knife, now, less than a year later, dvd player still only works occasionally

The tv arrived great and in a timely manner. It is great and my daughter loves it! A+++
