If u like spongebob on tv u will love playing this game. U have to go through these different activities like boating school jelly fishing and other stuff to unlock the other games. I would recommend it for a kid that has patience and isnt a sore loser. But once u get the hang of it its tons of fun to play~!~

I hope this helped u~!~:):):):)

This game is very funny and fun. The cut-scenes make us laugh all the time. It takes some time to learn how to win each game, but it's very fun to play while you learn. Me and my 5-year-old brother love this game. (As dictated to Daddy)

Seeing pictures of this Spongebob game attracted me into buying it for 15 bucks, while at the same time, wasting those same 15 bucks. It's called "False Advertising".

The actual gameplay became boring after a while, as the games were very repitous. Three rounds of the same thing: Drive an almost undrivable boat through a winding track, reloading Jellyfish Nets many times beyond reality, and collecting Krabby Patty ingredients from ants, and how do they even carry the stuff? It might be slightly fun the first time, but it gets boring VERY fast.

The game in general is too short, and has the same stuff. I enjoy a game that doesn't take me 10 minutes to complete, AND doesn't include two or more variations of the same "activity"

The cutscenes aren't all that great. They are PACKED with jokes that seem like they've been thought up in 10 seconds. In addition, the creators also packed the game with old catchphrases from Season 1 of the TV Series. The most annoying part is that these catchphrases are repeated sometimes.

My biggest complaint is the characters themselves.
Some of the characters don't look right, some of the characters' voices are messed up, and some characters don't even act similar to their behavior in the TV series. Mr. Krabs and Gary serve as the biggest example. Gary's "meow" is way off, and the space between his eyes is too large. Mr. Krabs' eyes are too thin, and his voice isn't to my favorite. Squidward's head is too big, especially the nose. Plankton's skin is too bright. The narrator, doesn't sound right at all.

In the Video section, the "Episodes" are just all the video clips rolled into one. That means the bubble transition, and there's no extras. The gameplay is half the story, right there! Without replays of the actual games, the "episode" doesn't make sense.

For a young kid, this might be a laugh. It does produce hand-eye coordination, and it does relate to the TV show.

All in all, in my opinion, the creators didn't even take the time to watch at least a few episodes of the show. The game would've been WAY better that way. It's either that, or the entire game was hurried up, which NO game creator should EVER do, but of course, Nickelodeon does that with ALL their games. This game would've been much better if it was animated with pencil instead of with 3D models, because the models are horrid. If you want a REAL Spongebob game, it's not gonna be on the PC/CD-ROM Drive platform, or any gaming console.

4.0 out of 5 stars bring it a round town!, January 1, 2002

HI my name is Andrew and I am 12 years old (I love the sponge bob show)I really like this game. when you wake up from bed you are sponge bob. then you can get up on the wrong side of the bed or the right side of your bed. when you choose a side it will have a different task if you get up on the wrong side of the bed you will not be able to find gary! then you will see a tape recorder it will start palying And plankton stole gary! so on the tape plank ton will want you to give himsome stuff or he will not give you back gary. so once you finish one taskthere will be another recorder and he will give you some thing else to do. and after you finished all the tasks he will give you gary. if you get up on the right side of the bed. you have to warn mr.krabs about plaktons robo krabs! and so you have to help you friends along the way so you can get to the real mr.krabs and tell him about robo krabs. the only thing that I did not like about this game is if you get up on the right side or the wrong side you will have to do the same thing like on the wrong side of the bed you have to get your drivers permit, get jelly fish jelly, get cheese off hooks, help mr.krabs get rid of pirates, and get a krabby patty (it is not as easy and it sounds) and on the right side of the game you basicly have to do the same thing. theonly difference is that you drive a different car, when you jelly fish you can be sandy, when you get a krabby patty you are robo krabs, and when you get the cheese you are patrick, but it is the same thing when you have to get rid of the pirates that is the resson I gave it 4 stars. well you are most likely geting bord so bye.

I am 10 years old and my little bro. is 3.We are big fans of spongebob. I was the first one to play it, and it gets boring VERY fast. You have to play every game 3 times, and sometimes a bonus level before advancing. You have to beat 1 game before you can play others, and the voices of the characters sound nothing like they do on TV. You can beat the entire game in less than 1 hour.

Boring for older kids, more fun for younger kids.

2.0 out of 5 stars not impressed..at all, January 5, 2003

First of all, I'd like to say that I am 16 years old and love spongebob. I wasn't expecting too much from this game since it was made by nickelodeon and most of their stuff is [bad] that's thrown together in an hour tops.

Even with my expectations set low, I was disappointed. It didn't take me very long at all to beat the entire game..it is way too short. The games are monotonous and you must beat one to get the next. There are three levels in every game, and the last one takes a good 5 tries to beat sometimes, which is frustrating.

This game may be ok for an 8-11 year old but not much younger because you have to have a decent attention span to keep interest long enough to beat the levels, although I'm sure there are cheat codes somewhere on the internet to unlock all of the games at once.

The graphics were pretty bad--the characters didn't look right and the pixels were big, meaning the graphics weren't very sharp. The voices didn't sound anywhere near close to what the characters really sound like either.

The reason why I gave it two stars instead of one is because of course I love spongebob and some of the games were cute and entertaining for a bit. Plus, like I said earlier, it would be much better for younger kids...depending on what their attention span is like.

It was only about an hours worth of mild entertainment and definately not worth [the money].

4.0 out of 5 stars A good game with a few flaws, July 12, 2002
A Kid's Review
This review is from: SpongeBob SquarePants Operation Krabby Patty (CD-ROM)
I purchased this game about 3 or 2 months ago. I must admit, it is very fun but it is very short. It took me about an hour to defeat both of the episodes. Another flaw was the cut-scenes, which are entertaining but the characters don't look right. Spongebob's cheeks are way too low and other things like that.
I would recommend playing this game first before buying it to see if you like it.

= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: SpongeBob SquarePants Operation Krabby Patty (CD-ROM)
This game is very fun. I purchased this game a few years ago. You can have SpongeBob wake up on the right side of the bed or on the wrong side. There are 5 mini-games, but they are the same on either side of the bed. The cut scenes are funny even if the characters look a little different, and even though Mr.Krabs sounds a little different. After I play this game for a while, it gets boring. I set it aside for a while and when I come across it again, it is fun again.

i got this game in the nickelodeon 4-pack (nickelodeon 4-pack comes with wild thornberries rambler, spongebob operation krabby patty, jimmy neutron vs. jimmy negatron, and rugrats all grown up) and i was impressed. it may not be exellent but its a fun game thats not hard or easy. its worth the money when you get the 4-pack but dont buy it alone. it has allot of varitey of games like when you help spongebob get his licence or find money for mr. crabs. i havnt played it for so long i forgot some of the games but it is fun.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sponge cleans things up., April 20, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: SpongeBob SquarePants Operation Krabby Patty (CD-ROM)
As cartoons become more perverted, (adult oriented) it's refreshing to see sponge bob, safe for kids and quite funny. I loved cartoons as a kid, but cartoons seem to have become the domain of tacky adult entertainment of late. Rarely a gem in the rough like sponge bob on t.v., or Dewdboy.com on the internet can be found, but they are losing to the corporate sex industry.
We can do better for kids, people, support the good things, please!
