me and my dad are spongebob fans so my dad got me this game and it's great you deliver a pizza, you find patricks shorts and suidward's jelly and find sandy's hat and the items in the show are weapons in the game and the cities are the levels spongbob squarepants fans buy this game

For those of you who are die-hard spongebob fans, i recommend this game just for the fact of seeing the familiar characters. The graphics are really top notch and the little animations are quite amusing. Though, it isn't as involving or as good as Metal Gear Solid, it still is a fun game to play. It's not all trying to eliminate enemies, it's a sidescrolling, action/RPG type of Genre, which i particularly like. If you're a fan of the spongebob series, or just looking to pick up a title you can play with ease, id suggest Spongebob: Tale of The Lost Spatula.

I was reading the other reviews and most said it was to repetitive. When I boughtthought I was going to be bored lickity-split. Although I've had for 2 weeks, I still play when I have time, I love this game. Most characters from the show are there and its just cute and clever! If you love the show and games buy this!

In 30 words or less...great fun for my son and I to play while on vacation. He liked the graphics, I liked the ease of play.

I got this game for Christmas just last year, and i stopped playing a month later. I am also a big fan of spongebob, but I think the people who made it could've done a better job. It's funny that when an enemy touches him he loses his pants, if he touches him agian he loses his undies hehehehehe. But anyway they have the main places on the show like the carnival, rock bottom, jellyfish fields, and so on. I have to admit, the graphics are kinda[unrealistic], sometimes you can't even see where you're going and stuff, and his movements are kinda hard to control, like his jumping. So in my point of veiw, you should just rent it first and see if you like it. DONT BUY IT RIGHT AWAY. This goes for those other cartoon games, like dexter, tom and jerry, stuff like that. This is an OK game, when I got it I was super excited because I am a HUGE SpongeBob fan. It was pretty good, but of course when I got it it was the latest technology. Pfh, yeah right.
Pros:
SpongeBob Rocks!
If you use the right password (D3BVG-M0D3) you can access any level
Good plot
Cons:
Graphics are NOT vibrant and colorful, they are dull and bland. Pokemon Gold had better graphics!
Password system is stupid, I have to write down all my friend's passwords and all 10 of mine, and I keep losing the paper!
Either a level is WAY too easy or WAY too hard.

I would not reccomend this game for anyone but the super true-blue SpongeBob fans.

If you want a really good side-scrolling action game with lots of Humor, this title is for you. SpongeBob is hilarious in this game as are the other denizens of the deep: Mr. Krabs, Sandy, Patrick, Squidward, etc. I thought using all the different items were fun. You get to use a net launcher or shoot Krabby Patty's into the Flying Dutchman's mouth. If you love SpongeBob, you will love this game!

My 5 year old enjoys the show so the game cartridge was a must. After some learning curve, the game demonstrated its variability in settings and challenges. The object of the game is long and tedious, so no 5 stars. But the game is addictive. I enjoy it much more than Batman (3 stars) or Toy Story Racer (2 stars). Worthy of the purchase, especially for someone who enjoys the cartoon show.

Who ever designed this game seriously needed some help and playing some action/rpg's wouldn't hurt either. The controls are very odd, and switching weapons(bubble wand, net, etc.) isn't very easy. You have to pause the game and go through three screens. Another part that is really, really, really annoying is you can't just 'save' your progress..they give you a code to re-enter. To all game makers!! Put a battery in the cartridge!! Codes are a thing of the past..we're in 2001 not 1981!! I'm a TRUE fan of Spongebob and this was a real heartbreak. 2 stars just for the name, not the game.
