My 6 year old has had this game since Xmas and has had a hard time putting it down ever since. Of you course you probably have to like the show in order for you to enjoy the game, but overall, the game seems to be occupying a good portion of his time.

All of the familiar characters are there (except Mr. Krabbs' voice. I think it is different than the TV show), and your mission is to save Bikini Bottom from Plankton.

The initial controller setup takes a little getting used to, but once he did, that was all she wrote. He nows plays it for about 2 hours a day (or as long as I let him) and he is having a ball playing it.

The fact you can be 3 characters (Spongebob, Patrick and Sandy) definitely helps the playability.

Overall the graphics are good and the motion is smooth so you will have plenty of playback time with this game.

Some people obviously have biased opinions regarding this game. Bottom line is, if you are a fan of platformers or the SpongeBob show, you will love this game. There is so much humor and great gameplay in here! If you like playing RPGs, then you should go be a wizard instead. graphics - 9, gameplay - 9, sound - 10, replayability - 9. the scores say it all.

SPONGEBOB: THE BATTLE FOR BIKINI BOTTOM(XBOX)...Apparently there are some people that have never seen the show or played the game and feel compelled to give this game bad reviews. Well let me say it is undeserved. This game is TRULY FANTASTIC. There is beautiful scenery and it's easy enough for the little ones to play, not to mention it's extremely fun. I'm 36 and find it lots of fun. It's not marketed for adults but, if you have kids, you'll sneak in a few minutes here and there, I guarantee it.
The colors are sharp and crisp. The frame-rate is perfect, not a lick of slow-down. It has a neat 3-D look to it(it's cool seeing a 3 Dimensional SpongeBob). My only complaint is it's only for 1 player. They fell way short on that aspect. However, it's teaching my two kids to take turns and they are doing a great job at it. So I give it back the star I deducted.
Overall, this game is great for kids of all ages and I highly recommend it.

This is not just a SpongeBob marketing vehicle. It is a well-polished game with lot's of excellent gameplay. It has great characters and weapons and is very funny -- even for adults. It's a great family game to play with your age 6+ kids. All of the "violence" is just silly stuff against different kinds of robots. No humans are hurt in this game, I don't think.

This game is mezmerizing. It's easy enough for our 4 year old to play, and challenging enough for our 12 year old. It's great entertainment for the whole family!

I wouldn't normally review a childrens game, but this is one of the best platformers ever! Now, I don't play too many games for kids, but I like Spongebob. He is always sooo happy. As proof that I don't play kids games, the latest game I've bought is Serious Sam, and I have been playing Halo for at least a year now.

The few things that hit me the wrong way were pretty serious. Firstly, Mermaid Man was not played by the same guy who does him usually and so was Mr. Krabs. That saddened me. Another thing was that it was just really easy up until I hit 50 or so golden spatulas. It was aggravating to me as a gamer, and probably all of the kids who bought this that it got so hard. You have to be anally punctual on every single jump, and I soon found myself cursing up a storm. For more cursing watch me play Mario Party....

I LOVE SpongeBob and this game was no disappointment! The graphics are pretty good, the voice acting is authentic, the levels are beautifully rendered, the music is authentic, the sound is hilarious and this game is just great!!! However, the graphics are a little slacked on. The graphics suffer from some polygon clipping (like when a character dies by a wall and then his arm or leg goes through the wall) and in a few places, the shadows disappear. This game has three cool characters, SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy and some very funny moves and humor. I just wish this wasn't the first SpongeBob game on Xbox and I wish Squidward was playable. I don't know why but Squidward is my favorite. This game is terrific, it's a perfect 5 stars! :)

If you are a Sponge Bob fan then you should get this game. This game has alright graphics and nice game play. There are three characters to chose from and a lot of levels to explore. And this game is only for 40.00.

True, I have only played it in department stores while waiting on my parents to shop around but this game is a must have for anyone that owns an Xbox. Especially SpongeBob fans!

SpongeBob SquarePants: The Battle for Bikini Bottom is a great game for all ages. It is especially fun for adults who are "video game challenged". It is lots of fun and the graphics are great. This game is not for the serious gamer.
