I can't say how a child would be supported by this, and it does seem to be classified as a toy. An adult would fit their torso on the float. At 5'6" the base of my skull fits the notch in the headrest and thighs rest in the two lower notches. The taller the person, the less likely they will be comfortable in this lounge.

Excellent shipping time. Packaging was crushed though. The hammock is great and floats very well. The one big complaint I have is looking at the photo with the man and women on the float, you would assume they are normal sized people. The hammock is shorter than I thought it would be...which is my fault I know because the size is advertised. Lets just say, if you are 6' tall or over, this float is a bit awkward to use. I'm 6'4" and the one end hits my lower neck and the other end hits high on my legs. Its still a great float, just be wary of the size of it.

I bought this float 4 years ago (when it was less than 1/2 this price). It still looks as good as the day I took it out of the box. I love to float with this. Perfect size for an average adult, relaxing, just enough support, comfortable. I give it 2 thumbs up!
