Updated with shorter cuff -- Baaaad idea,

Just like the other reviewer who has sensitive skin and has used these gloves for years, I am a total fan. I too have used them for more years than I want to reveal. I had to throw them away only when they melted or got torn by some sharp knife or broken glass -- saving my hands from being cut.The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they used to have long cuffs, long enough to fold over a bit so the water doesn't drip to you elbow, and you can reach into deeper water (or other liquid). Now, I suppose to save cost, the cuffs are shorter so if you fold them over, they're practically at your wrists. My only other quibble with these gloves are because they're thick and tough, they are not as nimble. As a compromise, I've switched to those Casabella Premium Water Stop Gloves, Medium 1pr. They're not as thick, so no thermal insulation, and not as tough, but more flexible.

I've been using these since I first discovered them over 20 years ago. Unfortunately they aren't quite as good as they used to be, but I haven't found a better substitute. They last longer than the thinner, more flexible gloves. The heat protection is fabulous and I use them not only to do dishes in scalding water, but also, carefully and occasionally, to pull things out of the oven. Over the years I've become quite adept at using them. I can pull the skin off cooked chicken with them on. I'm much faster with my hands than I am with utensils.

I've used Bluettes for years and years and not happy that they are so hard to find in stores anymore. Then I remembered to try Amazon, where we can find almost anything we want, and there they were! The stores all carry those cheap, thin type of glove that last about two days before puncturing, but Bluettes last me several months of daily use. They allow me to use all hot water when washing dishes (yes, by hand), scrub floors (no, I use a mop) or anything that uses a cleanser, to protect my skin. Finding these in small has also sometimes been a problem, mostly the mediums are stocked. I'm happy to report these are the real thing, not just a "blue" reproduction. So I'll be using Amazon as my source for this item.

I have been using Bluettes for 30 years, and was so upset the last time I tried to buy them and they did not carry them any longer. They last so long and are the best rubber gloves I have ever used for dishwashing and other dirty jobs.

Have used these for years and love them because even though they are a bit stiff, they keep the heat out from using very hot water. Was unable to find them in my local area.
