5.0 out of 5 stars please, please medicate this man
Wesley Willis rules. His outpouring of schizophrenic rants is literally nothing short of genius, and one of the most honest voices in the music industry. If you can get past the never-ending profanity, there's actually an acute societal awareness hiding under his illness. It's funny to listen to him, whatever he's going on about; though I do sometimes feel sorry...

Ok here's the deal. Everyone who has written a review here knows this is crap. Its not that I don't like it or something, just the simple fact is that it is crap. The genre that this "music" fits into is called CRAP. There is no other way to explain it. That said, it is mildly entertaining... To hear once... Maybe...

Wesley Willis rules. His outpouring of schizophrenic rants is literally nothing short of genius, and one of the most honest voices in the music industry. If you can get past the never-ending profanity, there's actually an acute societal awareness hiding under his illness. It's funny to listen to him, whatever he's going on about; though I do sometimes feel sorry for what he suffers through daily. But since the music is his chosen outlet for dealing with the voices he hears in his head, I'm not bothered by appreciating his creations.

Wesley Willis Fiasco is not so much corporate exploitation of a man with a serious mental illness as it is Wesley's answer to self-medication. When the demon-voices come, he responds with his music. Join Wesley on his spookydisharmonious conflicthellride. You may discover, as I did, that his reality is closer to your own than you might imagine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wesley Willis is..., January 8, 1999

a 300 pound skitzophrenic black man. He talks to himself on the bus, and when "the demons" tlak to him, he drowns them out with the sounds of the CD player he wears around his neck. Buy WW Fiasco, it's real music! The Wesley Willis titles are just him singing over the demo button on his Casio keyboard. Also, I think there are actually 13 or 14 songs on this album, including "Casper the Homosexual Friendly Ghost"

4.0 out of 5 stars This dog can bite!, November 10, 2004

This is the only album by the Wesley Willis Fiasco. Wesley Willis made dozens of solo albums, but this is the only album he made with a group. If you are familiar with Wesley's solo albums, this album is a lot different from those. While Wesley's solo albums feature pre-programmed keyboard tracks, the Fiasco songs have a hard rock feel to them. The Fiasco is actually a very good hard rock band. As for Wesley, well... he's Wesley. All his songs follow the same basic structure, but at least with the Fiasco there is some variety in the intrumental arrangements. His solo recordings tend to sound very similar instrumentally. Those of you who like Wesley will love this album. Those of you who don't like Wesley won't like this album. It's that simple. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the hidden bonus track, which is several telephone messages that Wesley left on Dale Meiners' answering machine.

Rock over London.
Rock on, Chicago.
Amazon dot com.
And you're done.

5.0 out of 5 stars Spectacular!, June 5, 2002

For so long I was fooled by the glossy veneer put up such overrated music genres such as classical and jazz music to hide for their lack of real musical content and inspiration, but after listening to a Wesley Willis CD I have seen the error of my ways! This CD is not only a masterwork of epic proportions, but a spiritual journey that will lead its listeners to the bright light of the musical promised land! I own all the Wesley Willis CDs. In fact, I play them at night while I sleep, hoping that some of his genius might be passed subconsciously into my pathetic mind, tragically devoid Willis's white-hot ball of pure creativity that continuously burns my soul and lights my fire. Needless to say, I highly recommend this CD to everyone out there in search of a true genius.

Wesley Willis is god-like, most of the time i just download songs, but wesley willis was so good that I had to buy all 4 albums that he as. I love how 2 of them are greatest hits albums, but they have all new music. Only a genius masked by skitophreniah could do this kind of work.
