Heart Rate,
By "dconsiglio" (Menlo Park, California United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: SportBrain Heart Rate Strap (Personal Computers)
I was a little confused at first, but now I understand that the SportBrain 'Brain' can receive signals from a heart rate strap. This means it also collects heart rate data and now I can also check out my heart rate graphs and average for an activity. This is an excellent tool to help my training, the only thing lacking is a 'real time' read, but it is great to go back after a work out and be able to see my heart rate graph, all with out any wires or pushing any buttons or setting anything up.

Alternative Heart Monitors the SportBrain CAN read,
By A Customer
This review is from: SportBrain Heart Rate Strap (Personal Computers)
The SportBrain CAN receive heart rate data from other Heart Monitors. I own a Polar Target Heart Monitor and it comes with a 'watch' that tells you your heart rate in real time. The Sport Brain Heart Rate Strap works, it's just fine for people who don't need real time heart rate data. I do a lot of Cardio so I like to know where I am in terms of my 'target' heart rate. I adore my SportBrain and love being able to visualize my day in the graphs and track my fitness activity through the course of the month. I print my weekly data from the web-site and keep it in a handy loose-leaf book for future 'hard-copy' reference. I look forward to the many wearable fitness monitors that will surely be hitting the market! Bio-feedback of this kind is just awesome!

Buy a HRM with a real-time readout instead,
By A Customer
This review is from: SportBrain Heart Rate Strap (Personal Computers)
I would recommend a Polar Heart Rate Monitor to go with the SportBrain, so you can see the readout real-time. With the SportsBrain brand you can only see heart data AFTER your workout.
