Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

If you want to exercise more but don't have the time for a regimented program, the SportBrain Personal Fitness Assistant might be the solution for you. This device works with the SportPort docking cradle (sold separately) to measure your daily activity.

The small, lightweight SportBrain clips to the waistband of your pants or skirt and measures the number of steps you take. You then snap the SportBrain into the SportPort (much like a PDA's synchronization cradle). The SportPort automatically dials in to the SportBrain Web server and uploads your activity in a little over a minute.

You can then log into your customized Web page with your PC to see an overview of your latest activity through numbers and pictures, step totals, weekly graphs, and detailed graphs.

The SportBrain operates on one CR2032 battery and comes with a one-year warranty.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sportbrain Tracker, January 18, 2001

I received the Sportbrain as a Christmas gift. It is easy to figure out how to use - customer service was responsive with my questions. I wear it all the time and so track all my 'on land' activities. (Only downside is that it cannot be worn while swimming). The goal of 10,000 steps a day is reachable and I find that I walk 2 -3 miles a day at work. Motivates me not only to work out but also to use stairs instead of elevator whenever possible. Highly recommended for anyone interested in monitoring activity levels.

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't live without it, June 9, 2001
This review is from: SportBrain "Tracker" Personal Fitness Assistant (1-Unit Sold Without Sportport) (Personal Computers)
What a wonderful and motivating product. It not only monitors the number of steps you do, which calculates into miles, it also gives you the support and understanding of others that feel the same way you do. The support of the staff of sportbrain answers questions quickly and help in any way possible. The clients motivate and also help with questions-casual walkers to ulta marathoners. If you want to get up and get off the couch this product is for you. Definately a 5 STAR product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best exercise motivator ever!!, June 8, 2001

The Sportbrain is without a doubt the best piece of exercise equipment I have ever bought. It was very easy for me to set up. Then I was off running (well, walking). All my information was then sent via modem to my own personal Sportbrain website. The information given is wonderful. Not only distance, time and speed, but comparison to others the same age and others within your club. There are many graphs to show progress, plus I really liked that you could design your own graph!!

The clubs are a powerful motivating factor, also, as I never wanted to be near the bottom of the list. You also can send and receive messages from others in your club. Everyone has been so positive and encouraging.

My husband and 2 kids now own Sportbrain's and it has already become a competitive family thing. My daughter was doing laps around the house last night to try and better her brother!!

We love Sportbrain and would highly recommend it to anyone who would like to lose weight and get moving!
