I found this whistle to be useful. It is audible but my dog will respond to whistle commands now. Great value for the price.

The classic dog training whistle,

If you go to a hunt test, you'll probably find one of these on almost every lanyard around somebody's neck. I'm just an amateur trainer, but I've put HR titles on two dogs and a JH on three, and this whistle has been with me all the way. The pea finally cracked in my first one. But for three bucks (when I bought it), that's 8 years and 3 dogs. Not too bad.
It's a good, loud, inexpensive whistle. If you're going to be working long blinds on a windy day, the Roy Gonia Mega (with the megaphone) might be better and it will save your ears a little. But otherwise, this will do the job. |
