Experience ranges form corporate management of a chain of Western US restaurants to owning his own popular restaurant and catering enterprises in Sacramento, California. In addition to offering sensational domestic wild game dishes on his menus, Scott prepared irresistible entrees for customers who would bring their game to the restaurant to learn how to do it the right way.
His cookbook is in its third printing and continues to receive rave reviews across the country. Scott also hosted two nationally-distributed cooking videos and can be seen and heard regularly on several radio and television programs. He spent four years on both sides of the camera on HGTV's 'Home Grown Cooking' with Paul James. When not cooking with the show's host or offering insightful cooking tips on camera, Scott served as Executive Chef behind-the-sceens.
Scott has found his niche in gourmet fish and game cooking and has become the premier authority on the subject.

A fantastic collection of the best wild game recipes.,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Sporting Chef's Favorite Wild Game Recipes (Hardcover)
I recently received a copy of The Sporting Chef's Favorite WildGame Recipes and it is a great collection of recipes for all types ofwild game. Published by Arrowhead Classics, Inc., Leysath's book brings a new flavor to wild game. I have personally met Scott and can attest to the great taste his recipes bring to wild game. This is a "must buy" for anyone who hunts or just likes to eat wild game. We can enjoy the healthy benefits of wild game (lower in fat and free of hormones, etc) and also enjoy the flavor. Check it out!

The recipes in this books are creative but simple. I recently took it along on a four day fishing trip to Lake Fontana where I cooked a "Brandy-Peppercorn" venison steak that everyone said was the best venison they had ever eaten! This is a book no outdoor sportsman should be without.

I own the first hardbound edition of this book. This softcover edition is incredible. Much bigger with more great recipes. I can't believe it. Scott Leysath has done an incredible piece of work here. Wonderful.
