Fabulous resource, April 15, 2011
This review is from: The Sporting News Pro Football Guide 1999 (Paperback)
This book is absolutely the best, most comprehensive source I have ever found for detailed statistical information on past NFL seasons. It includes such obscure individual player statistical data as kickoff returns, punt returns, games played and games started, as well as the usual rushing, passing, receiving, etc. And it includes data for every player, not merely the league leaders. Team data is similarly detailed, and includes even the hard-to-find data like average kickoff return allowed and kickoff return TDs allowed, average punt return allowed and punt return TDs allowed, field goal percentages for each kicker--and each team--in 10-yard increments, etc. It also has team rosters, upcoming schedules, stadium information, the past season's results, and statistical box scores like you find in the newspaper for every game from the previous season. The only negative is that The Sporting News seems to have recently stopped publishing this wonderful book.

Any book that has the Denver Broncos in it, is a wonderful book. Especially when it has Terrell Davis on the cover.
