Easily measure your intensity level while jogging or working out with the Sportline 1025 Duo women's heart rate monitor watch. A big step forward in heart rate watches, the 1025 Duo incorporates Any-Touch technology, which responds to a single touch anywhere on the stainless-steel case to deliver accurate ECG heart readings in mere seconds, with no chest belt required. Want to know your heart rate while powering down the path? No problem. As an alternative, you can also strap on a chest belt (included) to receive continuous heart rate measurements--a handy option for people who are in serious training and want to follow their heart rate variations down to the second. And thanks to the Intelli-Track HR zone display, it's a breeze to monitor your workout progress. Just set your goals and the Intelli-Track will help you follow along on the large LCD display. Other features include a built-in stopwatch, 12- and 24-hour time settings, a lap/view button, and a backlight. The watch comes with a sleek grey band.

About Heart Rate Training
Turns out, your heartbeat is a pretty big deal. It's actually one of the most important indicators of overall wellness, and is one of the most effective elements of any fitness program. Your heart rate not only controls your body but also the efficiency of your exercise. To get the most out of your physical activity--whether it's walking, dancing or aerobics--you need to make sure you are in your target heart rate zone. To determine your target heart rate, first subtract your age from 220. That's your maximum heart rate. Your target heart rate is roughly 50 to 75 percent of this maximum heart rate. To see how your fitness level is progressing over time, measure and track your resting heart rate--usually between 60 and 100 beats per minute--on a weekly basis. As you become more fit, your resting heart rate will decrease.

Your target heart rate generally encompasses three zones. Exercising in the Active Zone (50 to 60 percent of maximum heart rate) reduces blood pressure and cholesterol and is ideal for fitness beginners or those on a low-intensity program. Almost all calories burned in this zone are fat calories. Reaching the Training Zone (60 to 70 percent of maximum heart rate) requires more intense aerobic activity and is perfect for fitness enthusiasts working to burn maximum calories and fat. Finally, exercising in the Endurance Zone (70 to 80 percent of maximum heart rate) is generally recommended for athlete in training. The primary benefits of this zone are cardiovascular strengthening and elevated caloric burn.

I searched around in stores and online for a heartrate monitor. I am starting in getting healthy and fit and it was important that I track my heart rate as well as calories expended when working out as I find the machines to be extremely inaccurate. I finally settled on this product because I was able to track my workouts and save them for at least a week. It took a moment to figure out how to use...the manual is extremely important to have a keep handy...but once I figured it out, I was good to go. It is a comfortable fit and I find it to be accurate. I am currently not using all of the features, but there are a lot, such as an alarm if you go above or below your target heart rate. It is a great product that I would recommend to friends.

The the battery in watch portion of this product needs to be changed by a jeweler. I would not have bought this product had I known that; however, on a more positive note, the watch has a battery saving service (the watch can be turned "off" without losing the settings). It has been my experience that the batteries normally will last about a year in these watches and it is very difficult to find a jeweler who is willing to change the battery. I hope I have better experience with this battery.

Another item individuals might want to know that is not listed is the chest monitor is made in China.

I spent weeks researching heart rate monitors, and I'm glad I went with this model. I am a novice runner, and mainly wanted to get an acurate count of calories burned. I love that I can use the watch on it's own, or add the chest strap for my workouts for continuous monitoring. The chest strap is comfortable, and easily fits under my sports bra. Set up was easy, manual was adequete, and the watch isn't too bulky.

My only complaint is that I have to wear the watch with the face on the underside of my wrist to get a heart rate reading w/o the chest strap. But it could just be my wrist- and it isn't uncomfortable or anything.

While it may not have all the bells and whisles of the more expensive brands, it is perfect for my needs, and so far appears to be a great value.

I purchased this product on recommendation from a lady at the gym and find myself addicted to wearing it all the time - I love watching how many calories I burn doing various activities around the house and at the gym! Before I purchased this watch I had lost about 75 lbs and then hit a huge plateau for a few months - now that I have this and can watch the calories in and calories out I've started to lose weight again. Not sure who enjoys the watch more, me or my trainer I do have to say we have a blast trying to see how many calories I can burn on our workout days!
Watch was EASY to set up; it's comfortable to wear and doesn't look too bad with most daily things (unless you are all dressed up). I did find that wearing the heart monitor strap gives you better results when it comes to your heart rate and calories burned - if you tuck it under your sports bra line it's like it's not even there!
Really recommend this to anyone looking to have something to help them lose weight and work out!!

I am incredibily disappointed with this product. I purchased the item on 4/19/10 - then paid extra for 2 day shipping. I was so happy when I received it on 4/21/10. The screen was really faint and everytime I hit the light button the screen would go blank - then an alarm would sound. Then the screen never came back on. I ordered an replacement on 4/21 and I just received it on 4/22. This time the screen never came on. I will NEVER purchase for this company every again and have completely wasted a week of my time for a product that never worked.

This little HR monitor is the best cheerleader I have had. Knowing the calories I'm burning always makes me wanna burn more the next time I work out. Seeing my heart rate always lets me know if i have more to give and may just be dragging a bit. I love it. I wear the chest strap all the time even though it works without it. It's very comfortable and after a minute you forget it's even on.
This has been a really good investment in my journey towards good health, I highly recommend it.

I received this HRM as a christmas gift and while I do love that I can use the touch feature to acquire my heart rate, I was really excited about the chest strap. However, after ten days of trying to figure how the watch works, I'm getting a bit frustrated. First of all, the manual is tough to read if you have never owned a HRM. They do not tell you what the features are used for ie: the chronograph feature. I had to google it to find out.

Secondly, they don't explain how to use the chest strap. I've never owned one before and I didn't know if I had to sync it with the watch or just wet it and start the workout. Because I wasn't getting readings from the strap, I had to google this too and had a tough time finding out. I learned how to properly wear the strap (flush to the skin, under your sports bra and to get it wet with gel or water.) After finally figuring it all out, I went on my morning run this morning with the chest strap and was disappointed that the watch did not pick up my heart rate. The little heart icon kept flickering and then the watch just gave up and stopped detecting so I had to use the touch feature on the watch.

I want to love this product, I want to believe it's just my chest strap, but I have no idea.
