5.0 out of 5 stars Pedometer
Unisex Thinq Pocket Pedometer Color: Blue

The product is holding up very well. I have to give it a 6 out of 5 stars. It was a birthday present for someone and he raves about getting in his steps daily.
He likes it so well I am going to purchase one for
myself.

This is a great idea for a very convenient to carry pedometer. Unfortunately, the one I got has two severe shortcomings. First and foremost, the step count is not even close to accurate. For every 10 steps I take, it records about 13-14, even though I followed the instructions to the letter. Secondly, while it is true that you can carry this very comfortably in your pocket, you have to keep in mind that if you carry ANYTHING else in the same pocket, then within a few hours the face of your pedometer will be completely scratched beyond recognition. You will look at its scratched face and think what an ugly thing it has become. Sad, because the product had a lot of promise.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very Inacurate Step Counter, November 26, 2007

We each got one and tried it out in our house several times. We carried ours in both the vertical and horizontal positions in our front pants pockets and consistently took 13 steps. We ended up with counts anywhere from 10-22 steps, never got the same count twice. It will even count steps when you take it out of your pocket to see how many steps you took. These are going back to the store tomorrow.

1.0 out of 5 stars not accurate, December 31, 2007
This review is from: Sportline 303 ThinQ Pedometer (Blue) (Sports)
I really wanted to like this product. I have been using pedometers for years, and I was attracted to the idea of a device I could put in my pocket. However, I took it on several walks of known distance, and it was very inaccurate - 1200 steps for a 3600 step walk. Look elsewhere.

1.0 out of 5 stars A waste of money, December 28, 2007
This review is from: Sportline 303 ThinQ Pedometer (Blue) (Sports)
I recieved one for Christmas. It does not keep an accurate count of how many steps you have taken. I also had a problem with it resetting itself while it was in my pocket. I would take it back if I knew where it was purchased.

1.0 out of 5 stars inaccurate, terrible device, January 2, 2008

I have had the same experience as the other reviewers here. The step count is always inaccurate, by at least 5-12 steps for every 10 steps taken. I also noticed that every time you take it from your pocket to check it will add an additional several steps. Multiply this kind of inaccuracy for walking half a day, this device won't even be close to accurately depicting calories burned.

I received this as a Christmas gift, too; otherwise I'd return it in a heartbeat. About the only useful purpose I can conceive of for this device is its stopwatch feature (of course, assuming THAT'S accurate...).

Very disappointing.

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't work...what a joke!, March 22, 2008
This review is from: Sportline 303 ThinQ Pedometer (Blue) (Sports)
This pedometer is terrible! Most of the time, it doesn't count at all. The display is on, but it doesn't register any steps. When it does count, it is very inaccurate, giving me a wide range of steps when I walk the exact same distance. I'm sending this back immediately.

1.0 out of 5 stars worst pedometer I have ever owned., April 30, 2008

I have a habit losing belt clip pedometers, so I usually get the cheap (under $10) ones, which at least work. I thought the concept of a pocket pedometer sounded perfect for me and sprung for the higher priced model. This pedometer certainly fits easily in a pocket. However, it failed to record approximately three quarters of my steps, even when I held it in my hand perfectly even. Another problem was that it was constantly resetting itself in my pocket. After one day, I have already packaged it back up for return to the store.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not the pedometer I thought I would get, March 2, 2008
This review is from: Sportline 303 ThinQ Pedometer (Blue) (Sports)
This pedometer requires you to figure out what your stride length is in order for it to accurately determine what distance you are running. Well frankly I am dissapointed that regardless to what I set it to.. it is innacurate. Is there not a product out there that just measures distance without having all these settings? This is my first pedometer, but the fact that I can't use it to accurately measure what distance I am running makes the product useless to me. Don't get me wrong, there is some accuracy but it is off enough to where you might see yourself running 2 miles when you only ran 1.5. Or even .8 miles when infact you ran 1. So looking around for another pedometer that is not so complicated. Design is probably its best asset but not as thin as you may imagine it to be

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Sportline 303 ThinQ Pedometer (Blue) (Sports)
I put this in my front pocket to count my steps. Unfortunately, it didn't like riding around with other things in my pocket. It lasted about 4 weeks before the LCD screen was totally busted.
