My first pedometer from Sportline worked only a few days (digital display completely disappeared), so I returned it to them, and after over two months and several emails from me to them, they replaced it with this Sportline 350. The first two days, it worked fine, although it seemed to count many more steps than it should have. The third day, in the middle of the day it said approx. 3400 steps, later that afternoon it said 1300 steps, and by nighttime the display totally disappeared, and never came back. I just sent the second one back, and am expecting that again it will take several weeks and multiple emails to get the situation resolved with their slow customer service. Their products seem to be very poorly made, and I don't expect to purchase any more.... after reading the reviews, I have just purchased an Omron, and am hoping it will be much more reliable.

Highly Inaccurate,

I had this pedometer for a few days and returned it because it was so inaccurate. I would walk like 10 steps and it would register at 20. It was maybe too sensitive.....I don't recommend it.

Pedometer Review,

IMHO, this is among the most accurate of the low cost pedometers. It has a delay which minimizes the movement registered by some other pedometers. This is my second one, the first lasted two years

Bad Product-Worse Customer Service,

I bought this 5/21/05 got it the first week of June. It never worked so I sent it to the manufacturer. My postal receipt says they got 6/6/05. I finally called 6/28/5 and was told we would get a replacement in 10 business days. That would have been 7/13/05. Called on 7/15/05 and was told yet again it would be another 10 days. Bought this for summer hiking. What a disappointment. What a piece of junk! Buy something local so you can get help from a local store!

I Wish I Had Read These Reviews First,

I've had my Sportline 350 for just two weeks, and, confirming the experience of a number of other reviewers of this product, mine has stopped working too. This is particularly frustrating, because until now I was very happy with the product. I've learned my lesson -- I will be reading the reviews BEFORE I get my next pedometer. I'm guessing it would be a good bet that that next pedometer won't be a Sportline.

Great but gone,
This review is from: Sportline 350 Pedometer Trainer (Sports)
This is a decent pedometer. It was easy to program with my stride length and never missed a step. However, it fell off my waistband the third day while I was running errands and was lost forever. Get one with a safety leash.

inaccurate counter,

I ordered 2 of these pedometers and neither of them count steps accurately. One only counts about half the steps I take and the other is usually 2500 steps behind that. I wore them both for a week and got the same results everyday. I could understand if one didn't work properly but I got 2 at the same time with the same problem. I would not recommend this product.

Zero steps,
By
This review is from: Sportline 350 Pedometer Trainer (Sports)
Mine quit working after only two weeks and only registered ZERO steps.
I tried to reset, and then got my computer/techno savy husband on the job. NOTHING. ZERO. ZIP. NADA. We have both e-mailed the company with NO response. that is ZERO, ZIP, NADA. I can understand we might have gotten a lemon. We tried to phone the company and were met with a voice-mail nightmare. The fact that the company hasn't replied is very disappointing. *** Final update: The replacement worked for one week. Now only half of the digital numbers show up. I can get them to appear by pressing very hard in the upper right hand corner. Final report... don't bother!

Don't waste your money,
By EHB (Upstate NY) - See all my reviews Well, I did a little checking on my trail maps and discovered that all those miles I 'thought' I was hiking and was so proud of...well, this thing was inflating my distance by about 250-300%....my stride length was set correctly. What a piece of junk. I will never again by a Sportline. I read reviews for different brands of pedometers and found one with great reviews and at half the price. |
