An essential reference, July 15, 1999
This review is from: Sportplane Construction Techniques (Tony Bingelis Ser.)) (Paperback)
All of Tony's books are must haves for anyone building, or thinking about building their own airplane. Each is a collection of several years worth of his columns from the Experimental Aviation Association's magazine, "Sport Aviation". Each article covers a discrete area in far greater detail than almost any source, with lots of pictures, and the benefit of not just Tony's experience (8 airplanes) but also his years in the Air Force, as an EAA Technical Counseler, and his gleanings from the best aviation practice of the last 40 years.

Must Have For Homebuilders!, April 30, 2007
This review is from: Sportplane Construction Techniques (Tony Bingelis Ser.)) (Paperback)
I am a new homebuilt aircraft builder. 1/3 of the way through my plans built project I bought this book and Bingelis' other book "The Sportplane Builder." I wish I had bought them sooner. In case you're wondering, "Sportplane Construction Techniques" is much more specific and contains a lot more fabrication information. If you can afford both, by all means buy them both. But this is the one you will really use.
