I had just a LITTLE trouble assembling it at first...but got it together in 10 mins (trust me, I was just moving a little slow). It didn't bruise me at all...but it may not for fair skinned people such as myself. I purchased this imte in FEBRUARY OF 2009 and lost 4 inches off my waist in 4 weeks!! I love it.

This is a great beginner hoop, even if you are an adult. One pound is a good weight if you are using a wavy hoop. That way you don't end up with a bruised mid-section. Pay attention to the enclosed directions though so that you don't over do it!!

Colorfull. Easy to take on trips - packs small. Stays together and looks like a hula hoop, but the last piece is hard to hook. Also the first piece is hard to unhook.

I've been using it everyday. It's fun and it works because my clothes are definitely becoming looser on me! I would definitely buy again.

I like that it comes apart and can fit in my suitcase. I thought I was ordering a big hoola hoop but I guess it is kid sized. It's a little harder to use than the bigger ones. Good for a quick workout, gets the blood flowing quickly and since it travels easily it's great for hotel rooms, especially if you aren't comfortable going to the hotel gym or if there isn't a hotel gym. I like to use it while watching tv.

I wanted to learn how to hula hoop, so gave this one a try. It works great, arrived quickly and is lots of fun. It took me about a week to master hula hooping. Lots of fun.

I'm 66 inches tall, 135lbs and this hoop works perfectly. Assembly was fine. If you think you can't hula just keep at it!

I just wanted a light weight hoop to hopefully help tone my middle. The description says that it is recommended for children, I haven't had any problems using it, but I am 5'8" / 140 lbs. Putting it together took 5 maybe 10 minutes, and it wasn't hard. If I use it everyday I can feel a difference.

the shipping of my item was poor , never have i had anything way laid so long to ship and get to address.
the hoop is very hard and difficult to get apart when put together. other than that it is ok

Maybe they don't have room to properly describe this product on the first page but the title ought to say that this is a "Child's Exercise Hoop". The shipping was good. The Product is new.

The pic of your product looks exactly like the large one my daughter purchased on eBay. I had to assume this was a standard size Hoola Hoop.

This "deception" may be unintended. Hopefully this review will save others from the same mistake. I should have read farther....A ten dollar item just cost me nine dollars in shipping which seems a bit much compared to other items I have bought. Makes it look like they are low balling and making money on the shipping. I wish them luck in their endeavors.
