Soon after best-selling author Rick Reilly started writing a weekly back-page column for Sports Illustrated, he tackled the subject of cheerleading. I got hooked on Rick Reilly when my husband had a subscription to Sports Illustrated. It was the only part of the magazine I really liked. I think it was the only part of the magazine my husband liked as well because once Rick Reilly stopped writing for the magazine, my husband no longer cared to have a subscription to the magazine. I found this book and it's a compilation of many of Reilly's Sports Illustrated articles in one book. Something I really love about it though is that he adds a little update beneath each of the articles.

A co-worker recommended this book and I'm glad I ordered it. Each story is typically about 3 pages long. Some nights I'd read a couple stories, other nights many more. Reilly is very witty and I found myself chuckling during several of the stories. I'd highly recommend the book and will probably order another of his now; if I like that one too I'll keep buying!

I purchased this book for my sixteen year old son for Christmas.
He told me more than once he would read it again and that it made him laugh. Therefore I can recommend it for any sports crazed reader.
