This review is from: Sports Medicine in the Pediatric Office: A Multimedia Case-Based Text With Video (Paperback)
I am so pleased that I made this purchase. Having limited exposure to sports medicine during residency, the book/DVD are excellent. Both are divided into chapters: ankle/foot, knee and lower leg, shoulder, wrist and elbow, and hip and spine. The DVD is especially helpful, as Dr. Metzl will examine one of the specific areas mentioned in a pediatric patient. During the exam, he provides concise and pertinent information regarding the anatomy, how to properly assess pain and injury in order to diagnose the patient, and then what exercise/treatment is indicated. There are also x-rays and case studies that he reviews. The book covers the same material, but in more detail and also includes articles related to sports medicine as well.
A very comprehensive book/DVD for the amount of information that is covered. |
