I had to write a review after reading that tripe posted by "dwayne". Save it for [...] The book is incisive about a subject that gets all too little a hearing in the world of sports. Race and racism is taboo. Lomax breaks the silence.

Not enough authors are willing to talk about race and America's need for further progress.

Michael E Lomax is an awful author/editor with no original ideas of his own. I suffered through a college class that he taught and most of the students in the class White/African American/Korean all walked away with the shock that Lomax is disturbingly racist. His view of the world is that white people have caused all of the problems in the world and continue to do only bad things to everyone around them. His dated narrow minded views pour over into this book as well. His writings are an absolute waste of time, I wish I had taken another class from someone else and avoided his book. I just hope that someone can learn from my mistake and avoid his book and class.
