Due to the fact there were no reviews or detailed pictures beyond the single photo when I purchased my Blackhawk Sportster Range Bag I was a little apprehensive. However when I received my range bag I was very pleased. The bag is thick durable ballistic nylon.(some may call it a thick cordura nylon)that is as waterproof as you might need it to be. It comes with two zippered outer pockets (one on each side), each outer pocket has two zippers and each zipper has interlocking rings that accommodate a lock if desired. Each outer pocket include a gun rug envelope as large as the pocket. The gun rugs are nylon, padded, durable and removable. The center compartment opens up with two zippers connected with a nylon cord to make it simpler to open. Inside the center compartment are two removable Velcro dividers that you can position to hold your extra magazines or use to create a three compartment center area that could easily hold ammo and hearing protection and even a spotting scope or binoculars. The inside bottom of the bag has a removable hard nylon covered floor. The handles are sewn double stitched under and around the bag. The whole bag is very well made. There is also an adjustable and removable shoulder strap that has Kevlar type material grommets and buckles, the same type as your handgun. Due to the scratch factor that metal buckles can cause this is a plus, and they don't retain heat like metal does. Overall this is very well made and can easily hold more than two handguns and all your ammo and gear for an afternoon at the range. It's a Blackhawk product. nuff said, DK

I am very satisfied with this range bag. It is well constructed and easily handles two pistols, ammunition, shooting glasses, magazines and earmuffs. Each pistol fits in a zippered side compartment. This leaves the main compartment available for all your shooting accessories. If you are wanting a bag that can handle more than two pistols, then you will probably want a larger bag, but for me, this bag is just about perfect. A high quality bag and economically priced!

The short and sweet of this bag is: excellent. Well made.

Overall it is of good construction. Has two outer pockets for gun storage, both have a lockable zipper that accepts a padlock. A full sized semi auto fits comfortably. It comes with two rugs in the outer pockets. Center compartment is decent in size. the center compartment is big enough to put 300+ rounds, (2)ear protection, (2)glasses (cased), target accessories, magazines and still have room left over. The center compartment also has 2 removable partitions- fabric with Velcro. The handles are well attached and well placed.

The only things I didn't care for on this bag are there are no places to properly secure magazines, they just kind of go wherever and I like to have them strapped in. The center compartment partition piece can be set to one side to make like a pocket which is good enough. The shoulder strap hasps are made of plastic and the loop they attach to are also plastic (I have had these pieces break on other bags, so i am not fond of the plastic). Would have been nice for the ability to lock the center compartment as well.

For the money it is well worth it. For the price and quality I would give it a 4.5 out of five, but you can only give full stars here.

This is a pretty nice range bag. It is big enough for lots of gear. As a matter of fact, I would have preferred a smaller bag but I could not find one I liked in this price range. I carry 3 sets ear muffs, 2 pistols, about 200 rounds, a universal mag loader, a couple pairs of safety glasses, and lots of misc things. There is room for more but what else could I need? Anyway, I really like the fact that this bag comes with two sleeves to put your handgun into. That may not be a big deal for you but I liked the idea. I would have preferred more pockets and dividers, but like I've already written, for the price I felt I couldn't go wrong! This is a very familiar name and I feel it is a great buy for a great bag.

Buying online from a picture is always a gamble. This one paid off. I was looking for a small/medium sized bag to hold my my pistols and other necessities. I wanted something light easy to carry but not too small and inexpensive. This one fit the bill. I shipped quickly with no problems. I was pleased with size of the central compartment, more than adequate for what I was looking (eyes, ears, targets, clips, and rounds). Room in the side pockets for 2 pistols. The only thing that would have made this exceptional would have been an adjustable central compartment divider. Material and stucture appear to be very durable.

The quality of this range bag is excellent, and it's well-laid out for lugging your pistol, ammo and other goodies to the range for some practice. My only complaint is that it's a little small when I'm packing two pistols in separate cases, but for what I paid, it's still a great value.

I bought this bag, for my wife, so she would not have to lug around my large range bag when she goes to the range without me. It holds everything she needs (ear protection, safety glasses, several boxes of ammo, holster, mag pouches and weapon) with room to spare and with it's solid construction we are not concerned with product failure. I have several items from Blackhawk and this appears to be as solid as the rest of their products.

Sturdy fabric and construction, 2 outside pockets with pouches for 2 pistols, deep and wide enough.
The adjustable dividers that attach with heavy Velcro allow you a good amount of variation in organizing the main storage area.
Only suggestion would be 2-4 slots for magazines.
Otherwise, very satisfied!

This is a fine product. I was worried that it would have a chemical smell to it...as many luggage pieces, duffel bags, etc. have these days. There was only the faintest smell when I pulled it out of the box, and that dissipated quickly. I keep it next to my bed with no problems. It has lots of ways to carry: a single short strap at one end to grab and go, two straps to carry like a duffel bag, and a shoulder strap. Inside has a hard flap (for extra support of contents) that can be placed on the bottom or flipped to the side lengthwise, along with Velcro dividers to make two or three separate compartments if needed. Spacious enough to hold everything I need, yet not so big as to be overly bulky. Highly recommended bag!
