5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Series!, October 18, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Sporty Sprite (Pixie Tricks, No. 6) (Paperback)
I am writing this review to express how these wonderful, delightful books have inspired my daughter, a reluctant reader, to read. She read the first book in one night, she could not put it down. She could not wait until each new book in the series came out, and those too, were all read in one night. The books are imaginative, with a strong, smart girl character as the hero. I have to tell you I bumped into a stranger at the book store who was also looking at the Pixie Tricks series and she told me how much her daughter, another reluctant reader, enjoyed them. I highly recommend these books for both boys and girls. They are exciting, fast-paced, and fun!

5.0 out of 5 stars I loved the book, April 30, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Sporty Sprite (Pixie Tricks, No. 6) (Paperback)
Here is the book report I wrote on Sporty Sprite:

Fourteen Pixies have escaped from the Other World. One of the Pixies named Sprite is trying to trick them all back to the Other World. The door to the Other World is in an oak tree in the backyard of a girl named Violet. She is eight years old. Sprite asked Violet to help him trick the Pixies back to the Other World because the Pixies play naughty tricks on people. This story is about tricking Sport and Ragamuffin, two of the escaped Pixies. The way to get the Pixies back to the Other World is to trick them. The way to trick Ragamuffin is to make her wear matching clothes. And the way to trick Sport is to win a game against her. It was very easy to trick Ragamuffin. When Violet came home from school, she found Ragamuffin on her dresser. Ragamuffin asked Violet who she was. Violet asked Ragamuffin if she would like to try on some new clothes. Ragamuffin tried on the new clothes that matched. Then Ragamuffin went back to the Other World. A whirling wind takes the Pixie through a tube to the Other World. Sport helps a soccer team to win. So, Violet joined the soccer league to play against Sport and to trick Sport into losing a game. Violet was goalie for her team and made sure Sport did not make a goal. When Violet's team won and Sport's team lost, Sport was taken back to the Other World. Wizard Finn who helped the Pixies escape is from the Other World, too. He watched the soccer game and at the end he looked very mad because Sport was taken back to the Other World.
