5.0 out of 5 stars Our daughter's favorite book
I don't know what it is about this book, but our 15-month old daughter just loves it and its companion book "Spot Goes to the Beach". We read it over and over again. She likes to look under the flaps and say what the characters under the flaps are saying. Every page brings another flap to look under and another cry of joy from our daughter. The story...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not the best of the Spot Lift-a-flap books.
Our daughter really enjoys the Spot Lift-a-flap books. This one, however, leaves much to be desired. The primary surprises under the flaps are dialogue - which a pre-schooler can't read. The other Spot books have pictures under the flaps. Still, we reach for these books night after night!

The story isn't much, but who cares? This one gets read many times every night. I recommend it highly!

5.0 out of 5 stars My 2 year old's favorite!, October 19, 2003
This review is from: Spot Goes to the Park (Hardcover)
This is amongst my 2 year old son's favorite books, many of which are Spot books. He can recite the entire thing. It's a cute story about Spot meeting his friends, playing with them, losing his ball in the park, and encountering a new friend who is able to retrieve the ball. We love it! Five Stars!

3.0 out of 5 stars Spot Goes to the Park, September 26, 2003
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Spot Goes to the Park (Paperback)
The Book is about Spot the dog. In the book he goes to the park and meets some of his friends there. Spot and his friends play with a ball, and while playing with the ball it hits someone, and it also goes into the water. The ball got them into a little trouble, but they now need to get the ball out of the water.
The book teaches you that you need to be careful when playing. The age level is about 2-4 years.

3.0 out of 5 stars not much park vocabulary, August 8, 2003
By
This review is from: Spot Goes to the Park (Hardcover)
My son, almost two, likes this enough to read it, but it is not a favorite. I was disappointed because there's not much "park" vocabulary in it at all, which is what we were looking forward to.

5.0 out of 5 stars a flip book favorite, May 12, 2007
This review is from: Spot Goes to the Park (Board book)
My 13 month old daughter loves this book (and all the spot flip books). There are flaps to lift on every page, and a cute story to go along with it. Everything is bright, colorful, and interactive for curious little kids. Spot is the best.

2.0 out of 5 stars cute, but not durable, November 2, 2006

TdiP (New York City) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Spot Goes to the Park (Board book)
This is a cute story, but my 16-mo-old had the flaps ripped off three of the pages LITERALLY within 10 minutes after introducing this book. Even tho it is a board-book construction, the flaps are only paper and not built to last. With so many other titles to choose from, why bother?
