5.0 out of 5 stars Groundbreaking Work
This book is only outdated BECAUSE it was among the first in its class to explore the concept that a woman is allowed and supposed to gain pleasure from sex and deliver that idea to the public. In that regard it is an amazing piece of sexual education literature. The revised edition was released in the early 80s, but I believe it was written much earlier than that. It was...

1.0 out of 5 stars No useful information
This book was a boring weak monograph on a subject that needs new coverage. Instead of covering Fokorg's or Hammil's new theories and suggestions on stimulating the G-spot and explosive orgasm, this book brought me back to the 60s asking does a G-spot exist? and gave the reader endless detail to prove that it does. As a Gynecologist, I have been taught and I have...

It was written during a time when women (and men) were much less informed about the female anatomy, and there are numerous accounts in this book of women being embarassed by their orgasms because they were misunderstood. I believe that this book is helpful not only to the women of the time it was written but to women today. I read this book knowing full well what a G Spot was and what it did but I still found the history of it to be quite fascinating. In reading this book I not only came to more fully understand my own body and how it works but also what I can do to help it work more efficently and to my best sexual advantage. This book changed my sex life in an amazing way and for that I will always be grateful.

As a Gynecologist, I have been taught and I have taught that a G-spot exists for nearly 30 years. As a woman I was bored endlessly by a book that offered little to no new information on the G-spot and no information on stimulating the G-spot. Do not buy.

Regardless, I praise Amazon.com for advocating freedom of expression even if it may involve bad reviews of books they sell.

4.0 out of 5 stars Knowledge of the g-spot is essential., November 21, 1998
Despite folk "wisdom" to the contrary, the "g-spot" does indeed exist, and this book identifies it.

There is an area of tissue near the skenes glands which has special nerve endings and tissue, and when pressed upon will eventually cause a contraction of the nearby muscles in a "pushing" style which can be combined with other sexual stimulation to cause a uniquely intense orgasm.

The medical explanation for this area is that the baby's head presses upon it during the birthing process, bringing on the final round of pushing/contractions to complete the birth.

This book is good, but the best technique book on Amazon for using the g-spot for sexual recreation is "ESO: Extended Sexual Orgasm"

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful, February 14, 1999

This is the best book I have read on this topic so far, and it is a pity that I haven't read it before. I truly believe that my sex life would have been different, and probably more fulfilling. This book is a must for all those women who do not find their G-Spot by accident, and especially for those who still do not believe that the G-Spot does exist. This book should contain enough scientific proof and information to convince everyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book is very informative on how to gget it., November 28, 1998

I'd like know where the person gets their medical information from? As a licenced med (paramedic), going to med school, I have to say that most, though not all, doctors do recognize the existance of the G-spot. After all the G stands for the doctor who, supossedly, dicovered it. And as for orgasms, any informed doctor will tell you that there are more than one kind, and way to get them. This book does a complete job of covering this one ;)

4.0 out of 5 stars GREAT and NOT outdated at all (Revised in 2004), March 10, 2010

Julie (California) - See all my reviews
Although this book first came out in the 1980s, it has since been revised (as a sex educator I follow these trends - check the date on this version, too, though up above with the book info).

This book is more about the science behind the discovery and the naming of the g spot. It includes quotes/anecdotes from women about their experience with g spot stimulation and female ejaculation. This was a very important book and tells interesting tales of the research related to this fascinating area of female sexuality. I recommend it. It gives a good history of Freud, Kinsey, Masters and Johnson and what different scientists and researchers have thought or studied about female sexuality.

If what you want, though, is a "sex guide" - like a how to have better sex type of book - I would steer you instead to Because It Feels Good: A Woman's Guide to Sexual Pleasure and Satisfaction, which just came out in 2009 and is already a favorite of sex educators/therapists, or For Yourself: The Fulfillment of Female Sexuality, which is an older book but a classic in the field. The Good Vibrations Guide to Sex is also good but is very outdated at this point and needs updating. Each of these books talks about female pleasure, orgasm, the g spot, etc. and tips/techniques/couples communication.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hurray for the G spot!, July 26, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I ordered book "The G Spot: And Other Discoveries about Human Sexuality" the same day that I found it. These three authors have shined the guiding light on the mysterious female ejaculation.
Cosmopolitan men are more appreciative of the value G spot simulation. An older woman introduced me to this erotic phenomenon and I have been thankful ever since. Some of my friends doubt that a man's prostate functions similarly to a women's G spot. I plan to recommend the book to them.

I will tell them, "There's more to cum".

5.0 out of 5 stars Push and find, April 12, 1998

One of the books that should be handed to every couple getting married or even better, well before that. Thousands and thousands of people have known about it's existence for decades, yet rarely passed on this valueable knowledge. Let's not make the same mistake, but share this "magic spot".END
