Spot it Out Nickelodeon SpongeBob Swell Family Destinations for Garmin nüvi/zumo/StreetPilot U.S. Street Map microSD Card

Went and bought this thing primarily for the voice files and the voice files are not compatible with the very popular Nuvi 660. How they can get away with this?

Check your GPS for compatibility before you buy---look at the bottom of Product Description. Inside the box is a mini-SD card and an SD card adapter, and one of these needs to fit in your GPS. The mini-SD card fit my Garmin Nuvi 1250.

2-step process: the card provides data about attractions in major cities, and the Sponge Bob voice is downloaded from a website. After inserting the card (no internet access required), when you touch "Where to?" and scroll down to "Extras" the Sponge Bob lists major U.S. cities, you click a city and can select a variety of attractions (shopping, restaurants, kid's interests, etc). After you click the restaurant, you can touch the address and it will bring up details. If you live in a major city, this is very handy. I was surprised at the detail, I clicked on Medieval Times dinner theater and it even gave the costs, showtimes and description.

Sponge Bob's voice is downloaded from a website with your GPS connected to your computer (internet access required). The box includes a code number for downloading. I had no problem at all with the download process. After downloading, touch "Tools" on your GPS and touch languages and scroll down to Sponge Bob to have his voice on your GPS. He is quite funny, he says "re-doing things" instead of "recalculating" and makes remarks about wanting to stop for ice cream. A lot of company on car trips!

Was leary of purchasing after reading mixed reviews of downloadability. Sprung the extra $6 bucks for the $25 version thinking maybe the difference (from the $20 version) was that a microdisk was included. Stuck the disk into the Garmin, turned on the Garmin and followed simple directions to upload the destination information. Then logged on to the website and followed simple directions to download Spongebob's voice. All completed in less than 30 minutes. Very cute (and way less annoying than you think he'd be). I may amend that last comment after our upcoming 18 hour car trip... FYI: Pack instructions say 'compatible with all nuvi devices, all zumo devices, Streetpilots C550, C580, C7200 and C7500'.

We just came back from a road trip with the family and used the product extensively. It's awesome. We even found child care while in Florida so that the adults could have some vacation. The voice is hilarious, kids loved it. Lots of little jokes and cues from the show.

I love the voice and it's nice to have places to go that are family friendly. I recommend this product for families - but I have to admit - I am a big SpongeBob fan myself - he is a riot!

I read the reviews on Amazon and expected that I would have to call customer service and get the download worked out. My daughter really wanted this product, so I figured it might take a 20 minute phone call to get it to work. Sure enough, I had a problem. Customer service at Spot it Out is downright horrible. They take all your information and make a lot of promises but they can't connect you directly to tech support. I had to call repeatedly and give my information over and over again. Days later, someone from tech support called me back. The tech support person was helpful, but we still could not get Spongebob's voice to download. If I could have avoided "Customer Service" and gotten through directly to Tech Support, I would have saved countless hours of frustration. I'm returning the product.

What a great product. It took 5 mins to install and download this to my Garmin Navu. The whole family gets a kick out of Spongebob navagaiting. With 4 kids we are traveling in the car a lot and this makes it so much more fun. I would recommend this to anyone with kids.

Attempted to download and only the voice came down on to the Nuvi device, failed to load points of interest. Customer service told me to use a differenet code, the code was accepted. After twenty minutes of download, it still would not work, support told me to reset my device and wipe all of the saved data, not a great idea, but I was desperate prior to a trip. THIS STILL DID NOT WORK. Wow - this is one of the worst installs on a garmin update I have ever seen. Support was helpful, but unfortunately the install software is horrible.

Waste of time. Returning this today.

My three kids really loved it. They are all huge Spongebob fans. A friend of the family purchased hers through Amazon and we just had to get when we heard about it. I highly recommend this item for anyone with a family.

My daughter spotted this on a commercial on Nickelodeon and thought the idea of having Spongebob's voice on my Garmin Nuvi would be fun. After several failed attempts to download the SpongeBob voice, I found out through Spot It Out, that the voice DOES NOT WORK with all Nuvis. That part is written in tiny print on the box on the back, while in the front in bigger print says compatible with all nuvis. Very deceptable.
