When I saw the Monty Python years ago I thought it was pretty brilliant. Well THey were a brilliant bunch. Funny skits in this movie include an accounting firm that become pirates, fish that swim around all day sayin ghi to each other (what a great send up of how shallow most of our social interactions are) and of course the Dickensesque "Every Sperm is Sacred". Regarding the BIg L. I did not like it in the theater or now. it seems very anti art, anti woman and basically nasty and abusive towards humanity in general.
American Pie: I didn't watch it in the theater or on this dvd. In my freshman year at college several people insisted on gleefully descibing this picture to me and how great it was. I tried to avoid those people the rest of the year.
