A great EP, all things considered. I was a bit jaded at the fact that the song Spotlite apparently factored in to the movie Twilight, but once I was able to get over that, I realized that it's a great song. The rest follow form quite well.

This EP shows MUTEMATH in a period of transition between their self-titled release, "MUTEMATH", and their sophomore release, "Armistice". The opening song, 'Spotlight', first surfaced on the soundtrack to Twilight and is a very strong track. I believe 'Clockwork' first surfaced in live shows on one of their last tours and the "Flesh and Bones Electric Fun" DVD documenting that tour. It's a good song but is more consistent with the "MUTEMATH" CD than "Armistice". Two tracks you won't find anywhere else are 'Early Light' and 'Spotlight (Son Lux Remix)'. 'Early Light' appears to be an early version of 'Spotlight' showing the song in transition and 'Spotlight (Son Lux Remix)', a very strong remix of 'Spotlight' that stands on its own.

A good EP and a nice transition between the full-length releases, "MUTEMATH" and "Armistice".
