Short but... Sweet?,

This is a BIG, SHAPED board book, which scores it some points right there. However, the story is perhaps TOO simple and is very disjointed. The book has a very thrown together feel. There is no clever dialogue or pop ups or anything to really keep your child interested. My two girls (2 and 3 1/2) liked it simply because it IS Spot and they love many of his other books, and the sheer size and shape of it (turn it over and you see the back view of wizard spot and his pumpkin).
BUT there are many more character Halloween books out there that are much better reads than this one. |
