5.0 out of 5 stars Informative and a great read
This isn't a boring manual. It's smart very informative and laugh out loud funny. I have actually laughed out loud while reading this book. Buy this book and master your Kindle.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing for the cost
I expected great things from this book but was sadly disappointed. The cost was way too high for the shortness of the book, and a lot of those pages were given over to humor when I would have preferred more solid information for my Kindle. Since buying this I've learned that the author has a "business" style book for the Kindle that might have been a better match for me,...

Since buying this I've learned that the author has a "business" style book for the Kindle that might have been a better match for me, but I don't want to have to risk another $9.60 to find out.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth buying..., March 27, 2009

I am disappointed by this book because it was touted as a book for the Kindle 2. The shortcuts and key strokes suggested in this are for the original Kindle and don't work on the Kindle 2. So of course the things I wanted advice on (like using my own pics for screen savers) do not work. I also bought your other book thinking it was an updated version - it said it had an interactive calender and had shortcuts to a bunch of web sites. Well those didn't work either.

I guess I'll stick to google for my Kindle 2 questions. I'm upset that I spent money on both your books.

The great majority of the material in the book (especially dealing with such things as SD cards, and such storage) is out dated. Some idiot at Amazon decided to do away with the SD card slot, but still they sold me this stupid book that has nothing to do with the K2s that we bought. Boo.

Usually I take customer reviews with a grain of salt, and so far have not been wrong. So far until now, that is. This book was outdated, not useful, and had an entire chapter on what type of light to buy. Ugh.

The author tries to be humorous and it does not work AT ALL. Save your money because this one is expensive.
