Book Description

August 11, 2008 0853037345 978-0853037347
Here the outspoken academic Raphael Israeli deals with radical Islam's attempt to gain a solid foothold on the European continent through immigration (legal and illegal) and political refugee status, all calculated to expand the influence of Islam by taking advantage of the Western liberal and democratic governments accommodating them as guests - and then as citizens. The democratic freedom in which they now live allows them to say and do things which the far stricter regimes of Islamic countries do not tolerate. The three major countries of Europe most affected by Muslim immigration and demographic presence are France, Britain and Germany, who host about half of the total of 30 million Muslims in Europe today. This book examines the increasing presence of radical Islam within this Muslim diaspora in Europe, and the confusions and divisions within Western governments about how to engage with radical Islam and police its criminal elements. It examines the escalating impact of radical Islam in Europe, showing the larger picture.

"The Spread of Islamikaze Terrorism in Europe: The Third Islamic Invasion" (ISBN 978-0-85303-733-0 cloth; ISBN 978-0-85303-734-7 paperback) by Raphael Israeli is a sequel to this author's "Islamikaze: Manifestations of Islamic Martyrology." "Spread" pertains to Islamist stuggles between 1990-2005 against various government agencies in only Britain, France and Germany (the three largest European states). The title of this book's first chapter pretty well summarizes the author's concern: "The New [Muslim] Demographic Balance in Europe and its Consequences." The author notes the large increase of non-European Muslims who traveled to Europe following WWII in search of employment, and then staying. The author analyses the impact that this immigration has had on installing a dhimmitude personification upon Europeans who are subjugating their `secular' rights to the Islamists out of fear of `political correctness.' The author is concerned that the Muslims are not assimilating into becoming European to champion equal secular political rights for all, but worse, that they are trying to entice/coerce (da'wa) Europeans to lessen their secular rights in favor of special Muslim-courts to establish Muslim law (sharia) for Muslim residents - even if it means reducing secular rights for Europeans, too! This religious-political `threat' explains the book's second chapter's title: "Britain: Leading the Way" - how Britain has enabled the creation of an Islamist-ruled "Londonistan" in their nation's capital, and the degrading impact upon secular courts, secular schools and secular customs. The author raises the concern that even as European Islamists reject secularism, many of them use the welfare system to sustain themselves. Whew, 499 informative, tightly woven pages in describing the efforts of Islamists to re-expand into Europe after their repulse at the Gates of Vienna in 1683!
