Punk As (....),

This band is like the best of Against All Authority but without the ska influence which is the one thing I don't like about AAA.Sloppy hardcore drunken punk rock at its finest. No new-school (...junk) here.

the punkest band i've ever heard,

Christ on a Crutch is definitely the punkest band I've ever heard. The lyrics are political, the guitars are fast yet complex, the bass is the kind of bass you want to hear...LOW, and the voice is a mid-range growl of an ex-jock gone beer drinkin punk-rawk!Circa 1990 they played a ton of shows in Seattle Washington. They were one of the few bands that didn't get caught in the grips of grunge. They would often play shows with the Treepeople (now Built to Spill's Doug Martsch and The Hand's Scott Schmaljohn), who were just as punk, but not nearly as loud. Claim to fame: I don't know where the other members are (wish I did), but the drummer plays for the Foo Fighters...he's one tight son of a gun. -jaemz |
