Our 4-yr old got this cool Dump Truck as a gift and couldn't be more pleased. We had the old model of this truck, but a bit disappointed that the other Sprig guys didn't fit it the cab. This new truck solved that issue and now the boy can load in his little dudes and everyone is happy! Sturdy and uses recycled plastic... the packaging was SUPER easy to get the toy out and recycle, no wire or zip-ties (yeah!). The China made doesn't bother us, it is really well made, like all the Sprig stuff we have.

This Dump truck is great. Our little man is on the cusp of walking and he likes this toy because he can get up onto his feet and push it around our house by its handle. Also, as his motor skills have developed, he has discovered that the back of the truck can be loaded up with wooden blocks and dumped back out again. We are looking forward to letting him play with it on the beach this summer.

As far as being made in China, I must admit, that I don't care. I have read many reviews for Sprig products that are negative based on this issue and I find the reasoning false. The product is made from reclaimed materials and I find that is a good first step since, Sprig toys share shelf space with a sea of Chinese made plastic trinkets for us to buy. In that ocean of cheap, flimsy shiny new plastic toys, the Sprig truck really stands out. This rugged little truck is smartly constructed and its muted coloring really sets itself apart from its garish contemporaries. I would feel silly complaining about the carbon footprint of an item I paid someone to drive to my house! After all, no "Green" toy is shipped straight from the factory and delivered by a guy on a bicycle.

After much searching I finally bought this truck for my son's first birthday as he seemed to be into dump trucks at our gym daycare. The whole reason I wanted a dump truck was because he liked loading stuff in the back and then dumping it out. The truck is very cute and sturdy and rolls well but there is a latch/catch when lifting the back to dump out the contents that my little guy is too small to overcome. He isn't that interested in this for that reason. I imagine once he is stronger and more coordinated he will like it much better. I have a two year old that can manage it with no problems.

This is a cute truck, fun to play with and great concept of using recycled materials. However, the bed of the truck has a latch or lock on it so strong that my 3 year old grandson can not release! It is very hard for me to release it. The disappointing part is I wrote to the company and they confirmed receipt of my e-mail but never responded. So I can only conclude that they don't care. Will think twice before buying from them again.

I bought this for my 1 yr old nephew. His mother loves electronic noisy toys, and I thought it would need some variety. He ended up playing with this all christmas day and ignoring the rest of his toys. My 2 yr old twin boys, also loved playing with this.

This is the perfect size for a sand box. We have a 3 year old grandson and we bought the front loader too. He uses the handles on the front loader to fill it up with sand and "drives" it to the dumptruck and fills up the dumptruck. Then he "drives" the dumptruck over to the other side of the sand box to dump it out! I love the size of this truck. Many others were too small or too large. This size works best for his age.

Looking for toys for my nephews and nieces that can not only be used indoors, but that will last if left outdoors or taken to the beach. I think this one fits the bill. My nephew saw it from across the room and ran right over yelling TRUCK! TRUCK when he saw it. The dump compartment opens pretty hard - too hard for a 2 yr old, but I think it will be easier once it is used more.

These trucks are fantastic! They've held up for 4 years while sitting in the direct sun all summer-long out in the sandbox. They may have even weathered a cold winter out there. But these toys (we also have the Loader) keep on going. Perfect for our two boys and friends who have enjoyed them. Our boys are now asking us to purchase these as gifts for younger cousins.

I bought this on sale for my dump truck obsessed toddler but the entire thing is too stiff. Half of the fun is the actual dump and undump function. My toddler now pretty much ignores this toy since that function is too stiff to enjoy.

I recommend the Green Toy brand of trucks instead.
