I purchased this for my son (who LOVES cars) for his 2nd birthday! I was a little bit hesitant because it is made from plastic, and being an eco-friendly family, we buy mostly wood toys. The design also made me a bit cautious because it looked like it might be easy to break parts of, considering the plastic aspect. I bought it anyways because the other item I was considering was the Recycle Truck and it was a few dollars more and doesn't light up kinetically. Here are the main points I'd like to share:

1. I smells wonderful because it is a wood-recycled plastic blend and the wood scent sticks with it!

2. It is durable and hardy, our son has stepped on it, thrown it, raced it into walls, and the thing is semi-flexible so it does not break.

3. It comes with a little person that isn't shown in the photo but he plugs into the driver seat so when you push up and down on the back of the car, it kinetically charges a light on his little hat and lights up! The kids LOVE this and it has a lot of educational value in it to explain energy plus cause & effect!

4. It is easy to grasp and is large sized for little hands!

5. The wheels are non-marking - perfect for our wood floors!

6. The kids LOVE it...our 2 year old and 3-1/2 year old both play with it and REALLY enjoy it.

7. It races pretty far with one push, the angled wheels help it to glide across carpet and hardfloors.

I'd DEFINITELY buy from this company again, and I'd buy this car as a gift for any kids who like vehicles! I did a lot of research and it does not contain many of the dangerous chemicals most plastic (and even metal) toys do. What better way to make use out of old milk jugs than to make toys~!!

I gave this to my 2 1/2 year old nephew for Christmas, and not only did HE love it, but his eco-minded parents did, too! He drives it everywhere, and loves to make his flashlight person (whom he lovingly named "mimi" after his grandma) light up. It's a great, imagination stirring, sturdy toy that is also friendly to the environment!

Got this for my daughter and the baja scout for my son, they pump it up and race around- the little guys come out and are flashlights when pumped up - super cool and eco friendly.. made with recycled consumer waste! awesome.. Hope more toys are made with such insite.

My 3 year old LOVES cars and trucks, but rarely plays with this one. The little guy that comes with it that sits in the driver's seat has a hat with a light that is supposed to be charged when you pump the car. Well, he easily falls out, and the light only stays lit for a half second. Very frustrating to a 3 year old. Well made, nice that it's eco friendly, but not worth the money in my opinion.

We ordered this for our 3 year old son and agree with a previous reviewer that it appeals more to parents. It is well made and a neat idea but it just doesn't compare with other racing cars he has. The racing sound is only made while you "pump" the handle, not while you are pushing the car. He pull it out now and again but bnot enough to make it worth the money,and our son plays with everything. If it is the first racing car for a 1 or 2 year old go for it! But not so much for the slightly older,

This is our second Sprig car and I am very happy with it. My 2 year old daughter plays with it quite a lot, and so do her little friends. I do not think any of the two year olds are really aware of the drivers lighted helmet yet, so there is still that to look forward to. I expect that this toy will be played with for a long time to come!

This car is a good idea, but I think it appeals more to parents (and our eco-friendly ideals) than kids. I loved the idea of this car, but it doesn't compete with some of my son's other cars. Won't buy again.
